I one had a boss that hired me, one of 2 employees in this small business, and he had the same exact first name as me. Rather than let me use a nickname made up of 2/3 of the name, he tried to rename me to someone else's name entirely. It might've worked if I didn't have to introduce myself to 20 customers a day. I was awkward enough at lying about my name that he just let me keep my name and there was 2 of us lol.
