Fan of the channel. Fan of Peerless. We almost cancelled our Peerless tour as we were getting fired-up for the next leg of our trip down to Nashville. So glad we didn't cancel as it was the best tour of the bunch. I'm a big fan of the both Double Oaks and their standard Rye Whiskey. The High Rye is also very good. Soooo glad these bottles started showing up in SE Wisconsin this winter. Great content fellas! Go get 20k!!!

i just picked one of these up on vacation. $80 from total wine. its a hitter for me. really enjoying it. not complex at all...boiled down to dark chocolate, cinnamon, and oak is what i got. but the flavors are mprominent and balanced. i really enjoyed it. especially with a cigar

I bought the bourbon in NJ over the weekend. I really liked it. A lot of flavor and the proof for my pallet was on spot

I found both of these the other day at a local place and had to grab them both. Tried the Rye so far and its damn good. I like it better than the Woodford DO. Is it worth $110? Probably not but its better than the 1910 and Woodford so just knocked 2 big players out of contention so its quality. I recommend it.

Double oak bourbon is really good. And thankfully easy to find at the local Total Wine. Need to try the Rye still.

Right on the description of an amped up 1910 for the DO Bourbon. I am a fan of Peerless even if its a little pricey. I have both of those and like them. I also have the high rye and the rum finished which I enjoy more and would recommend.

I have both of these and I bought backups of both of these and whenever those run out, I will continue to buy both of these. They are both stellar (at least for my palate), I don't care about the higher price. I am also fortunate to live near the SLB Drinks guys, so I got a single barrel double oaked rye pick by them which is even better.

The differences in the DO batches is what I was curious about. I loved the bottle I had from back in 2022. I picked up batch 9 of the DO when the released it at the distillery in early 3023. That one was nothing like the earlier batch I loved. My batch 9 is nice and sweet on the nose, but heavy black pepper overpowers any other notes for me on the palate. Also, they charged $140 for these on release day at the distillery. Very frustrating when they started hitting shelves at about $90.

I lucked out and got the peerless double oaked for $81 before tax. Peerless double oak rye is $110 before tax. I may splurge on it now or wait for the next drop.

They sound delicious, but are a little pricey i think. I just bought the Sagamore Double Oak batch 8AD for $56 and it's fantastic. Great review.

Just got back from a "Whiskey Wednesday" at a local eatery where Peerless was the featured tasting flight; Single Barrel, Double Oak, and Rye. My first exposure to Peerless and I enjoyed all of them with the single barrel coming out on top by a just a bit.

Thanks guys. Just back from Peerless. The Ryes shined during our tasting, and I'm not a rye guy at all. The single barrel "State Fair" was our number 1 and the Double Oaked number 2. We left the distillery with both. We did not care for the Double Oaked Bourbon at all. The Small Batch bourbon was solid but not nearly as appealing as the ryes. Since my visit I have picked up 2 other single barrel ryes and they have both been fantastic.

I have the double oaked bourbon and the single barrel. Both are very good. Replaced my empty double oaked yesterday. The distillery is cool and corky is a nice guy.

I have yet to try Double Oak. VA doesn't carry it and have never found it outside the state. Maybe someone will bring to Bourbon in the Barn this year...... 😉

@tylerweers1188 So if it was me I would do some combo of Old Forester, Michter’s, BBC or Peerless and Stitzel Weller. They all offer something a little different bur have been favorite go to places in town. With that said I haven't went to Pursuit United or Cooper and Kings but have heard good things.

I think their Double Oak is the best in the market. Hate the cost at the distillery though. I think it’s around 130 🦌 if I’m not mistaken?

I feel like most every time I go into Total Wine I'm able to find the Double Oak Bourbon and sometimes the double oak rye for a lot cheaper than at the Distillery

I have a batch 11 of the bourbon. It's like dating a hot chick with no personality. I'll stick to Woodford DO. And as far as the Rye, IDK if there is anything better than Sagamore DO.

Just bought batch 11. The neck pour was a huge letdown, there is zero finish. I couldn’t believe how quickly it died off. This is the first batch of Peerless double oak I’ve had, hopefully it open up because it’s a complete rip-off at $95.
