avalino is almost like wretch's protoge from what i understand. youve only got a few years on wretch and a lot of these British artists. they were doing the grime thing in the earlier 2000s while i had personally given up on mainstream hip hop in the us by that time lol. being asleep for so long on the uk scene has made my experience over the last year so incredible. i still havent run out of new music to listen to of INCREDIBLE hip hop.

You guys need to get your heads around the U.K compared to the U.S. Michigan is around the size of the U.K, now imagine all your Rapper good and bad are all other states apart from Michigan and all the U.k Rappers are in Michigan and then people try to say which is best. If my memory is correct you have 50 states, and we have Michigan, now when you look at all the talent coming from the U.K remember they are all from Michigan and not from all the other 49 states combined. When you think of it that way you will get a scale of the sheer talent in the U.K. Wretch 32, Avelino, Dave, Akala, Gheets, Fredo, Bugzy Malone, MIC RECKLESS, Central cee, Abra Cadabra, Meekz, P Money, Ren, Stormzy, Potter Payper, Tion Wayne, Giggs, Scepta, Dizzee Rascal, BBK, Lethal Bizzle, Tempa T, Fekky, Footsie, General Levy just to mention a few. Show me that many dope rappers in that size of a place then i will bow down to the U.S. The U.K is now the home of Rap.

Akalas 3 freestyles are a must watch too... Charlie sloth is a monster in the UK scene, and props to him he has really pushed local artists and given them a platform... but he still needs to take a chill and shut up.... and leave the f*cking bombs alone 🤣🤣 Charlie stopping the track and rewinding it though is one of the biggest compliments in the UK scene, the wheelup, lemme hear it again!

I realised a while back that Ave was supposed to go second. Notice the bar "Like 3 said can't you hear the difference" which is in reference to Wretch's bar, (can you not hear the difference) meaning Wretch was due to go first and avelino would reference the bar second. They clearly decided Wretch's was too good to go first.

I must have listened to this hundreds of times, and watched a couple dozen reactions to it, but only recently did someone point out those last couple bars from Wretch. That whole scheme is just plain genius. The tie in between water/ships to music/money is incredible. Especially the double meaning in "How do they expect musicians to stay afloat, when all our sails keep going down the stream". The interchangeable sails to sales, and stream as in a stream of water, and stream as in spotify/tidal taking money out their pockets (back to sales going down the stream).

As far as these Fire in the booths go, the top ones in my opinion are Akala parts 1 right through to the best one, 4. You've already seen 1, do them in order now and you will not be disappointed. The progression is unbelievable. Then I'd put this one with Av and Wretch. Then Mic Righteous parts 3 and 4. And then Lowkey 1 and 2. But that's just the tip of the iceberg. Wretch 32 has been around years and is Avelinos mentor....You really should check out his FITB pt5 for sure....then Wretch has 3 Daily Duppys and Avelino has about 4 of them that are 🔥 (especially his most recent one)...other artist from UK you should definitely check out are Mic Righteous and Durrty Goodz....Mic Righteous has 4 FITBs that are crazy good and Durrty Goodz FITB is a proper freestyle straight off the dome...but I'd suggest checking out his Westwood freestyle because in both he is spitting with a similar flow but in the Westwood one he spits on 2 grime beats as well ...then if your interested to hear what a UK rapper sounds like on a US beat he's done a "Back in Blood" and "Isis" freestyle ..his pen game and flows are 🔥
