Obscure? There's nothing obscure about this. This is early Bee Gees. Their disco era was long after they started. They were singing for more than a decade before that, and making hits. I grew up on this... it was never obscure.

You are probably one of those folks that only knows The Bee Gees from their Disco Phase. These guys had a career that lasted more than 40 years and there were several "phases" in their career. They had their first hit (Spicks and Specks) in 1966. "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart" was from the tortured ballad phase, which came in-between their "British Invasion" and "Disco" phases. The truth is The Bee Gees were never really a disco band; they just had a few disco hits. Even during their so-called Disco phase, they made a lot of great non-disco music. This phase of their career saw great success. This song came from one of their most critically acclaimed albums (Trafalger) and was their first song to reach number 1 on the music charts. Two other big hits from this period were "Lonely Days" and "Run To Me." You really should go check out the other phases of The Bee Gees career. Their catalogue is extensive and is probably the deepest rabbit hole there is (yes, even deeper than The Beatles). Start with 2 great songs from their earliest days "Massachusetts" and "To Love Somebody." Then check out 2 songs from their later career "Alone" and "Man In The Middle."

But he and Barry shared lead on many of their popular songs. The two of them also wrote many of the songs. The third brother is Maurice (pronounced Morris) who also has an amazing voice. Kiss of Life or This is Where I Came in are good starts. Robin, with his distinctive voice, Barry singing falsetto or not, Maurice taking lead on songs like Man in the Middle.
