OK, German here, (deep sigh)... My wife was diagnosed with stage IV cancer in 2021 and as huge Rammstein fans, we were very eager to see what their 2nd single of their upcoming album would be. Biiiig video countdown on March 10, 2022 - we did not want to be a second late with all of Germany watching, maybe the servers would shut down?? Then, grabbing the tablet and I joined my wife on the sofa - "Zeit"... Interesting title, always good for a surprise, these guys... And surprised we were... Like by a 10 pound sledge to the forehead on a sunny day at the beach... I cannot remember being more profoundly shaken by whatever happened to me at any other point in my life. A few days before this video came out, my wife was notified that her fairytale would not have a happy end. So, this video reflected the situation she as the morituri and we as a family were directly affected by the impact of her illness. If we would have had the powers to turn back time, we would have given anything... 😢❤❤❤ My wife succumbed to her illness on July 31, 2022, only a few weeks later... This band and their songs will always have a special place in my heart, for a multitude of reasons...

Meine Frau starb im Juni 2021, nach 26 Jahren Ehe(Lymphom IV) , ich fühle mit dir. Eine absolute Katastrophe und dieses Lied bringt einen zurück, zu den perfekten Momenten. Angst is really nice. But you also can have a look to his own separate Band called “Lindemann” some the first Album is completely in English. Crazy text. But not many videos. “Praise abort” “fish on” are English examples. New ist “Sport Frei” its a call against “Arbeit macht frei” what Hitler said but the Song is an artwork. It’s about the normal day at work. Even with lyrics hard to understand. Feel free to ask about this song

3 figures (Zeithüter) are directly inspired by "The Norms" in Norse mythology. It's so close to the mythology I'm sure it's not coincidental. Quite beautiful meaning and lots of connections with the video (3 figures, past present future, time, fate, the "sand tree" in the middle with women given birth can be a representation of Yggdrasil (world tree), they are present at birth, etc.). I am glad you reacted this one, big Rammstein fan here🙂 My next reaction suggestions is Mein Herz brennt piano version🙂 I swear nothing controversial there🙂

Whenever i see an anouncement for a new video i get instant goosebumps and feel like a child before christmas again. And it's always something different. 2 weeks before my friend lost her battle with cancer I got to see her, I had managed to house sit a place right near where she was staying. This had just come out & we were just standing there hugging in a sunbeam rocking as I was singing this softly to her. It was the perfect moment & I'm so thankful for it. Our last words were "I love you". Her partner called me one night saying that she had a steep decline & the dr had just been & she was on morphine. Kept the line open. I heard her parents & brothers. 3 years later she slipped away with a smile on her face. This will always remind me of her, it's been a long 18 months

I lost my darling best friend Meredith in 1997, aged just 34 leaving 2 little girls, from non Hodgkins Lymphoma. I went with her for chemo, I went to her oncologist appointments, she and the girls stayed with my then 5 yr old son and I after a failed bone marrow transplant and she was so weak. I got her a wheelchair so that we could go down the street and look at lovely clothes. She was so vibrant, sassy, funny, beautiful and loyal and I will never have anyone else like her in my life. I miss that girl in my soul every day of my life. She is a grandma now and one of her little granddaughters is just like her. I still cry for her, like a hole in my life that will never be healed. My condolences to you, I know how it feels, we always made sure to say I love you after every phone call and every visit. I am surrounded in my bedroom by beautiful artwork that she drew for me that I received after she died so she is always with me. Just the most gorgeous soul. ♥️

I'm really looking forward to it. If you liked ZEIT, you will definitely also like the ballads OHNE DICH (Without you) and STIRB NICHT VOR MIR (Don't die before i do) feat. Sharleen Spiteri from the band TEXAS fell. The new song/videos are very profound: ZEIT (concerns us all), ADIEU (it's about farewell, some say they sing about the death of a good friend of the band, some say the band is processing the difficult time during the recording in 2001 for the 3. Album MUTTER, which almost led to the band breaking up) ANGST (influence of the media), ZICKZACK (very funny video about plastic surgery and not to forget RADIO (this is a personal topic of the band, which connects them with most East Germans. It is about banning western music in the former GDR before the Berlin Wall fell. The band members lived in the former GDR). The old songs are all great, but the newer ones are somehow more adult. I'm looking forward to further Rammstein reactions. The channel " Educated Marine" has English subtitles. Greetings from Germany and Merry Christmas 🎅🎄💝🎁

The most underrated scene in this movie is the harvest scenery, I think. Pretty sure someone stated that already somewhere, I just don‘t have the ZEIt to read them all… ;) The harvest scene is cramped in between the wild crescendo and the heartbreaking death of Olivers daughter, the moment, when everybody is oberwhelmed by this „flip“ of the timeline. It‘s just the reverse order when the child dies before the parent and it is the most devastating thing imaginable if you have to bury your own child. That‘s when everyone cracks and shed some tears. We are released in the harvest scene right after the wild, struggling crescendo, the music stops, the late summer scenery is warm and peaceful, Tills voice gets soft and calm. A scenery of timeless(!) beauty (zeitlose Schönheit). Because that is the way, mankind did bring in the harvest for ages, for its entire settled history. And yet they are using the scythe, the tool of the grim reaper (in german: „Sensenmann“, literally „scythe man“). And I guess it is again on purpose, that the visuals remind you of the amish people, whose way of life seems to be a „time capsule“, because they refuse to „go with time“. And they do have some german ancestry, don‘t they? I‘m sure someone else pointed this out way better than I did, I apologize for iterations (and bad english). But these details don‘t get clear on first vision. You can‘t just do a „first reaction“ to a masterpiece of this dimension and realise every detail in it. I watched it several dozen times and still discover new gems. To be honest, some would have never come to my mind without these comment sections. But as we know this 40 year old guy, he will show this movie to all his friends one by one to see them flabbergasted, right? Cool T-Shirt, btw.

When you understand the full lyrics it is so awesome. I mean many songs are complex and have a destinct message. Sometimes you have to listen to it hundreds of times and extremly think about it, together with the video, its crazy. Zeit and some other song make me almost cry, because they are so deep, so full of emotions. especially when you have something to relate with, like my mothers and my fathers death and struggle. My mother had cancer 3 times and the last one, she knew that she will die and almost exactly when, my father was in coma for several weeks and we know that he could hear us, but he couldnt react, the only reaction we saw was, puls, breathing, uncontroled eyemovement when we discussed a topic nearby where he normaly wants to say something!

I think had two perfect moments and quite a few great ones I fondly remember. But the great ones don't even come close to the perfect ones. One when I was at school, like 15-16 maybe. It was the last day before christmas break. I got the results from a physics exam back that went way better than I had tought. I had made plans with my friends to watch Lord of the Rings part 1 in the cinema that night and I was mega hyped for that movie. We got loge balcony seats reserved for it (yes our local cinema had those, it's like 100 yrs old now). I took a detour going home to pick up a novel for school that I had ordered at the local book store. I browsed for a while, especially their video game section and when I left with the book, it had gone dark (it's pitch black at like 5 pm here in winter) with christmas lights coming on and it had started snowing. I do not quite now why. But in that moment, bliss was all I could feel and I am so very glad my brain made a hard copy of that day... The other moment I was slightly older and involved my first girl friend. But I feel that's quite enough sharing for one comment 😀

One of my favorite things about Black Pegasus reacting to all these videos is that you can tell how much all these new influences are making him even more mature in his artistic taste (not only music) and you can feel his mind is going full speed at 200%. He not only wants to understand what he experiences, he wants to digest everything and pour his new sensibilities into his own art and I cannot wait for the fruits of his efforts...
