It works with pan de sal or with slice bread we call "Tasty." The way we eat it is we put pancit on the sliced bread, fold it lengthwise then take a huge bite. While chewing, we chase it immediately with a forkful of Pancit. That is the ultimate first set of hungry bite. I personally only put cheewiz or butter on the bread before putting the pancit inside. It elevates it thrice over. When instant noodles were not yet a thing back in the day, this practice was done using original pancit bihon and rarely with the OG pancit canton. Filipino parties back in the day will have pancit laid on a nice big tray, beside it will be sliced tasty bread arranged nicely on a plate, then rice, lumpiang Shanghai, a Filipino Spaghetti, red hotdogs on a stick poked and arranged on an uncut cabbage, pork BBQ on stick, Embutido, Dinuguan and white circular Putos. This is a party food template common back in the day.

Oh wow! You ate it in a Filipino way. I love it! Also, that pancit canton would be twice as good with a Sunnyside-up egg. We mostly dip the noodles in the Sunnyside-up egg yolk and the spam or hotdogs(sausage) in the Pandesal, making it like a creamy pancit canton sandwich. it's delicious! 😋💖

Filos have been eating bread with noodles since forever 😅 noodles with rice as well if your on a budget or just camping by the beach 😊

❤Miss Peggy Neo, You should try: HAWAIIAN BBQ! -Katsu Chicken 🍗, Bbq kalbi steak, Spam Musubi, ontop of shredded cabbage 🥬 (you must get the Extra Hawaiian Teriyaki Sauce & pour over the cabbage soaks up the sauce) & MUST never forget THE MACARONI SALAD!!!
