Don't worry Peggy. In a few decades, he will be discovered in 2011. Then a wee bit less than a year later, he will be suiting up with five other heroes in the streets of New York City. Two years later, he will meet you again as his organization has been infiltrated and corrupted by Hydra and you are the select of few people left that he can trust. Then he fights a robot army with the same team he became friends with and some new additions. Then he fights some of his friends over Bucky's innocence. Then he starts making public service announcements. Then he fights Thanos in Wakanda. And then and then and then...... He fights him again only to time travel back to this time to have that dance with you.

She poured the serum out, at the same time, tears is also pouring out her eyes. Watching the red liquid slowly leaving the bottle, Peggy feel like her heart is pearced through by something, it aches her so much that for one moment she wanted to stop and keep the serum as if it can make steve stay near her. But she can’t. “Bye, My darling.”As these words are spoken the bottle became empty. She stared into the middle distance of the ocean, watching the sunset and putting steve into the bottom of her heart, where no one can find him. Then, just as she is about to leave……“On Your Left.” She halted at the voice, the voice that she has been waiting for. She didn’t move, for she was quite scared that this is a dream. “Agent carter, May have this dance with you now?”the man asked her. Her heart is beating at maximum rate now, she turned and her eyes met his. There He is, the first avenger, the man that landed the plane in the water without hesitation, the man that takes on hydra alone, the man that received the serum due to kindness in his heart and not strength, the man that she have chosen to dance with from a thousand soldiers, the man that she loved when he is still a kid from brooklyn--Steve Rogers, standing infront of her just like she remembered from her last memory of him. He smiled and walked up to her “I can’t leave my best girl behind, especially when I’ve owned her a dance.”

Here is the way I see it: In the main MCU timeline, Peggy’s husband most likely is Chief Sousa because on the MCU wiki it says Peggy’s husband served in the Army and Sousa did before joining the SSR. In the alternate timeline, Steve and Peggy get married and live out their lives until she dies and Steve returned to 2023. This show needs to be renewed so that we can get some more info that can finally untangle this messy plot bestowed upon us by the Endgame writers.
@jackieb.26424 жыл бұрын
Average_ Joe I agree with you. I wonder though if Peggy and Daniel had feelings for each other in the new timeline?
@average_joe89054 жыл бұрын
Jackie B. Not too sure because I don’t know exactly what year Steve returned and married Carter. If he came back after the alternate 1947, then it was probably hard for Peggy and Daniel to let go of their feelings for each other.
@LadyHarley4 жыл бұрын
Something messed have happened between Peggy and Daniel then. Either that or the endgame writers didn’t look at agent carter
@average_joe89054 жыл бұрын
Carly Quinn The Endgame writers made Steve create an alternate timeline where he and Peggy could be together. Some agree with the writers that Steve and Peggy married in the current timeline but that doesn’t make any sense to me at all and there is evidence in the main timeline to prove it.

I don’t like how Steve got be with Peggy in the end. Its not that I never liked them together. It’s just...it *ruins* the whole concept of moving on. Peggy was Steve’s first love. Doesn’t mean he shouldn’t move on with someone else. I personally liked the chemistry Steve and Nat had. They were a lot alike and yet not at the same time. And Peggy got to live a full life and died peacefully. Steve should of moved on after that, and Yeah I know the whole “I keep telling people to move on...some do...but not us” quote Steve says but in *reality* we don’t always get to be with the person we want most. Whether if they died or is with someone else. It doesn’t work out like that. Especially for Steve waking up 70 years later etc. He should of moved on from Peggy. And she made her peace with his death and moved on from him. I’m just sayin it would of been more realistic and relatable to audiences if Steve *never* got to be with her in the end. Because that happens in real life...and all you can do is *move on* an by not moving on your not living your life. Even if it was Shown that Steve ended up with Sharon or somebody else that would of been a better ending for him.
@ScreenMasterMCU4 жыл бұрын
In part I agree with you.
@aname9594 жыл бұрын
I don’t fully agree with you, throughout all of the movies Steve has been selfless he always helped others and he always put others first and after finally beating Thanos and fighting for almost 20+ years he decided to do something for himself. He was trapped in a time he didn’t belong in so when time travel was found he put up the shield and retired in the time he was from. He got the chance to be with his friends, family and Peggy. He left friends behind but he found happiness and settled down.
@TheKira7084 жыл бұрын
• A Name • your misunderstanding what I’m saying...I’m not saying Steve *doesnt* deserve happiness no no I’m not saying that all. I agree he definitely does and he could of found happiness in someone else he could of found that in Natasha if the Directors wanted his story to go that way. There chemistry in Winter Solider and the rest of the flims could vouche for that. And I watched Agent Carter the show, Peggy has been therw a lot too. And in THIS scene she finally let go of Steve, because that’s all she could do. This scene is amazing, let alone her journey in Agent carter as well as her dealing with the grief of losing Steve. But because of Enegames ending it’s like. Everything she’s been therw in Agent Carter regarding Steve and this scene means nothing now. An in the hospital, Peggy talks to Steve and says “I have lived a life, my only regret is *you didn’t get to live yours* “ so say if Steve lived his life after endgame and settle down with someone etc. I’m pretty sure Peggy would of been happy for him. In a way it Is selfish of Steve because, Peggy already had lived her life. So to go back and change everything, because you still miss her and long to be with her...Is kinda selfish, which I understand completely but that’s when the whole “if you love them gotta let them go” comes in to play, which Peggy *herself* says to Howard about moving on and letting go. Some people make it seem like Steve simply can’t live without Peggy or he will never find happiness again because Peggys gone. That’s not the case at all. Think about it, before Steve went into the ice his last moments and most time he spent was with Peggy, so it’s only natural for him to feel that way once he woke up. But If he had time like years later, he would of moved on or realisticly he would of moved on. But it just ruins the whole concept of moving on, which I personally didn’t like. Now when I go back and watch agent carter and see Peggy think and talk about Steve it takes the emotion and feeling out of the scenes, because we all know now she gets back with him in the end.
@TheKira7084 жыл бұрын
Screen Master I’m glad Steve got a happy ending. It just would of been a far better story plot had they not been together in the end. Because of the moving on element. It takes away the emotional roller coaster of emotions both these characters had apart. Because yeah in real life you don’t always get to be with your first love. That dream sequence Steve has in age or ultron was perfect, if they had a longer scene, with that having a dance and Peggy telling Steve to move in with his life. That would of been perfect. Because you can’t hold on to the past, have to live in the present and for the future. I notice people saying Steve deserves a happy ending because of everything he did, which I agree, but the same thing could be easily said for Tony and Natasha. They died in the end, they deserve to be alive and have a happy ending too. That’s why I loved the speech Tony said at the end of endgame, about sometimes it’s not always a happy ending, but things can still work out etc. I mean it is what it is. I’m happy for Steve but at the same time. I personally preferred his ending to have been different.
@champo9764 жыл бұрын
@@TheKira708 you bring up some good points but if you leave him in the modern era, there are real life roadblocks to that making sense to audiences in the future, i.e. one of the most capable avengers would just be... retired? For future movies yknow? Like let's genuinely think about this, let's say phase 5 or even 6 the avengers have to fight a massive threat, let's just say galactus. I think it makes less sense with the character (and is frankly even more selfish of cap) to see a threat like that in the future and hes just like "nah, sorry mate I'm retired" , like I feel like cap wouldn't be comfortable doing that just because they beat thanos. I think the only way to successfully remove that character is to take him out of time, or to kill him off (like tony) so audiences arent left wondering "why isnt that awesome super soldier who's basically the leader of the avengers not fighting with the avengers?" Just trying to approach this eith a different perspective, Chris Evans initially contracted for I believe 7 movies (if I'm counting right) and hes expressed an interest to move on to other projects and that hed only come back to captain america is the script and direction is genuinely moving and compelling so, they had to make cap take a more immediate backseat somehow.

I wish so badly that The Russo’s had respected this decision
@TestaRosssa_4 жыл бұрын
But since it wasn't a decision she made because she wanted to, but rather because she had to, wouldn't we be happy for her that she got what she actually wanted in the end?
@athenasherlock1984 жыл бұрын
Tessa Jangmi no. I’ll remain unhappy about it because it makes no sense. In the Winter Solider (also directed by the Russo’s), Peggy says in the video at the museum that Steve saved the man who would be her husband. But then the Russo’s said Steve had been her husband the entire time. It’s a plot hole and an ending that wasn’t thought out very well.
@TestaRosssa_4 жыл бұрын
I agree that that's confusing Haha But I'm not really asking about the logistics, I was asking if you'd be happy she got what she wanted instead of respecting the decision she didn't really want to make. Or by decision, do you mean creatively the decisions they made in Agent Carter, undoing the life she went on to live through the time travel?
@athenasherlock1984 жыл бұрын
Tessa Jangmi I just think it was very selfish of Steve. She had a life with someone else, presumably Daniel. I just don’t think it was a good decision
@TestaRosssa_4 жыл бұрын
I can definitely see that! I guess I don't feel that way because he intercepted before she had that life, with the life she actually wanted. Not like he went and broke up the marriage, you know? I sort of see it as if he hadn't been frozen in the ice he would've ended up with her and Daniel with someone else and it wouldn't be selfish, just how things are. And him going back before they got together is the same to me. Everyone went on with life how it would've been if he didn't get frozen. I don't know if I'm making sense or rambling Haha But I get what you mean, how did he know that she'd be happier with him and not Daniel? But he went back anyways.

Things Steve could say if he returned in this moment (after returning the stones): “I think I’d rather say hello.” “Is that... me?” “Peggy, do you still dance?” “You have no idea what I had to go through to get here.” “This reminds me of Titanic. No, not in that way. Never mind, you don’t get that reference.” “It’s been a long, long time.”

She moved on from Steve and accepted that he was gone. She also did the same in What If when the Watcher told her that the world needed her. Steve’s ending doesn’t make sense because it clearly establishes here and in What If that Peggy had moved on so Steve should have been the bigger person and did the same
@paracletelux Жыл бұрын
Accepting the reality that someone is dead or the necessity that you be separated from them doesn’t mean you wouldn’t want to be with them again if the opportunity arises. In What If, Peggy asked The Watcher if she could have her happy ending (ie: get sent back to Steve) and he refused. She couldn’t exactly force him. But when Nat revealed that someone was alive in the Hydra Stomper suit, Peggy was elated. Season 2 is coming up in December and I’m pretty sure she’s going to fight to be with Steve again. The fact that Peggy doesn’t magically know Steve is still alive and doesn’t spend the rest of her life searching in vain for him, and tries to have a happy life is not incompatible with him being the love of her life, and vice versa. Moving on when all hope is lost isn’t the same as *choosing* to leave someone. I don’t understand why people have trouble grasping this concept.

this is why i dislike cap's endgame ending. It's supposed to be about cap moving on, but no he had to go back and reverse it all, undoing so much...
@ConzyWonzy14 жыл бұрын
Cap had an opportunity to live his dreams and he took it, he lived a life of being only selfless so it so it’s only fair that he got to be selfish just once and do what’s best for him.

I disagree with your existence for saying that.
@nananaomi3 жыл бұрын
Ikr. I don't get the "he gets to be selfish this time" either, like _no_. He's not like that. He's not a coward. He always faces the future, no matter what. To have him go back in time to get with Peggy just hurts his character development that spanned on the course of over 6 movies. I mean, I kinda get why they chose Steve's ending to be that way, but I just can't accept it. He never gives up, that's why I love him so much. He inspires me to keep moving forward. But doing him like that just hurts me so much because it's like the one that I grew up with changed so drastically I don't know who he is anymore :(

*After their reunion in Endgame* STEVE: You poured my blood away on the Brooklyn Bridge?
@ajepart70944 жыл бұрын
This is one of the most fantastic scenes in MCU in my opinion. On top of the scene of Peggy telling Steve he needs to move on in Winter Soldier, the character work in that film is so great. I personally dislike what Endgame did. All of Peggys and I feel even Steve’s development feels lost now for predictable fanservice.
