It's such an underrated line, but the bit where Nat's trying to get Steve to take the girl from accounting on a date and he says, "Lillian. Lip piercing, right? I'm not ready for that." has soooooo much character. The fact that he learned and remembers the random girl's name shows his interest and care for people. Then his comment about the piercing shows he respects people and their choices, but he also knows himself and the type of people he gets along with best. Also, it's a funny joke.

His scene talking about Quicksilver and Scarlet about letting someone experiment on them for the sake of their country was an awesome moment. Hill saying "we're not at war" the Cap replying "They are" is an even more touching moment, it shows clearly why it was always on him to lead. He refused to view things only from his position, accepting that others will have motivators behind them. I'm really happy that they focused as hard as they did on this being the key feature of Cap's behavior.
