Really cool, Mathieu. The time and effort that you put into your craft is displayed on every beautiful sculpture you create. Great work. 👏

@@MathieusChainsawCarvings no problem i love it...I like the raw wood look you went with on this one, but yeah for sure some bright colors would look great too
@MathieusChainsawCarvings Жыл бұрын
@@funkymonkeyschainsawart the example i had had a little color round the eyes, when i use colour i ussually use pigments mixed with oil, its not that i didnt have these pigments on hand but this alder wood wouldnt be suitable for that on this one, i feel that the colour would run to much where you dont want it. and i am not comfortable using spraypaints etc :) i am no painter and id rather not use it then screw around and screw up a perfectly fine sculpt/make a mess :D

Yay !..a pelican !... The shoreline States would buy that up...do y'all have pelicans near where you're at ?...Florida..Georgia..South Carolina..North Carolina..Alabama..Mississippi..Texas..all have docks where this would look magnificent perched on a dock piling...yep 👍😉... I like you left it natural color..looks awesome...you really have the eye..I'm so jealous 😁... 🌿🌿🌿

We have no pelicans here unfortunatly :D. i used a somewhat conservative log to make it so i did mess a little with the proportions :D really glad you like it, everyones kind words are always so motivating ❤ and really, everyone can do it. i feel it is a skill and not a talent :) and a skill is something everyone can ;learn :D

Mathieu, wat weer een mooi en groot "gevaarte" zeg. Hoeveel uren ben je daar mee bezig?? Zag ik op de achtergrond ook een ooievaar staan, fantastisch.🙂
@MathieusChainsawCarvings Жыл бұрын

Thanks a lot! trying some new shapes is always fun. i think it came out nice for the amount of time i spent on it. Occasionally help someone unload shipping containers from indonesia, always have a ton of idea's after that 😄. i borrowed one pelican from him, i tried to stay close to that design for the first one. looking forward to making a couple more! I liked your latest video on your use of the blowtorch, Havent gotten around to watching the whole thing yet. but i will have to make a little tool like that as well. seemed to work very good! 👍
