Great review! Can you access other apps on this bike's screen? Thanks.

Do you have to pay for the monthly fee to get classes? I’m not sure I need the classes … can I just buy the bike?

From what I've researched, you have to pay the subscription for the bike to work. There isn't a Free Ride option, from what I understand.

Thanks for your review. Can you access the Peloton app on this pad?

Thanks for watching! I don’t think this is possible (at least they don’t make it easy…maybe there is some workaround to do this)

There is a workaround. If you press and hold in the lower left corner (no button on the screen for this, you have to just kind of "find" it), you can shell out into a web browser. From there, you can do anything.

Lots of bikes have electronic resistance control. This is not a crazy feature. Even $200 ones have it. Some brands prefer manual and some prefer auto resistance. Echelon like electronic resistance control for example and my Schwinn IC4 which I paid $500 is manual you can't compare peleton pricing to alternatives because peleton are $500 bikes with nice screens and good integration. Otherwise they are nothing special

Good to know! All I know is when Peloton released their Bike+ the automatic resistance (which updates automatically with instructor cues) was a major selling point!

@@MissSarahEK the echelon bikes which start at around $300-400 on sale have automatic resistance I have a recumbent bike that was $200 and the resistance is also electronic (controlled by buttons)

@@MissSarahEK one of the downside of automatic resistance is at any time you can be firmware updated to remove resistance control without spending money

@@overnightclassic2 nice I’ll look into those! I think the major benefit is not having to think about the resistance at all because it updates for you during class.

@@MissSarahEK My comment was deleted because of links but there is a Men's/Women's health magnetic resistance bike which can be found as little as $50 at ross dress for less. A great value. If you search "Men's Womens healt magnetic resistance bike amazon" it's the one that is $174.99 Big lots has a $399 echelon model which is good as well. There is an ex4S+ at costco which looks a lot like this one for $500 also with automatic resistance There is the schwinn ic4/bowflex c6/c7 which went as low as $280 on clearance at best buy but the normal sale price is around $499 usually The Ic4 is a unique bike in that it's one of the few with power/cadence/heartrate all open to use any app. most of the other bikes work with zwift but require either accessories or hacks to make them work. There was a walmart echelon sport S which is around $280 or something. They also have a cheap echelon rower as well There are a lot of decent well built bikes these days.

Any bike with ifit usually proform has the 'premium' auto resistance feature too. Cool review and cool bike. 🪩🕺🏽
