I have the keiser m3i ,(i use it with the ride by keiser)i like it never tried it with the peloton app to see how easy would be to match the resistence from keiser with the one from peloton classes with the conversion chart of course what is your opinion you think it would be easy to use with peloton app and match the resistance ( probably after a learning curve?)

They're both amazing bikes. I own both. Peloton is not a bad bike compared to Keiser, but Keiser just seems to go above and beyond in almost all aspects of the build and design. The major downsides are that only certain heart rate monitors work for it, and the Keiser apps are garbage. But before I got my Peloton, I used the Keiser pretty much every day for Apple Fitness+, Peloton, and just regular cardio routines I found online. Amazing experience. And how light it is and how it doesn't require power - you can put this bike anywhere and have a solid workout experience. I might get their elliptical too. Oh, and it's made in the USA.

Keiser is the way to go in my view. I'm in the 240 lbs range and the keiser is dead stable and the resistance is silky smooth. I also like that it does not have a bunch of extra features that seem to be more marketing oriented. And this is a personal thing but I get a cult vibe fro the whole Peloton ecosystem.

I have had an M3i for the last year and shortly thereafter started taking peloton classes on it. I love that I’m not tied to peloton and the high monthly fee and can cancel any time and keep using the keiser bike. It’s so smooth, quiet and fits my 6’6 frame perfect. The wider pedal base helps as does the customization of handle and seat positions. Would highly recommend the Keiser M3i as much as I love my peloton classes
@bmp713 Жыл бұрын
How strong is the resistance on the M3i? Do you think it is enough to get virtually anyone out of breath no matter how fit, and reach maximum heart rate? Every cheaper bike I tried so far I could breath pretty easy barely getting to 145HR which is almost useless.

You won't be able to peddle the red handle all the way up the resistance is brutal I have done both bikes Keiser much better than the Peloton

Just to let people know, I am 4'11" with short legs compared to my height. I think my inseam is 25" on a good day. The Keiser bike is the only spin bike I have found that fits me comfortably. I had another bike (spin brand) that I found cumbersome for my size. I realize this is not an issue you have had (ha, you have the opposite problem), but it is worth mentioning to your viewers.
@juliecasson83413 жыл бұрын
You have to remember that Peloton is primarily an app company first with the bike built around the app, where as the Keiser is a fitness equipment company and has been doing that for years. That said, have been on both and own the Keiser… for the reason of wanting to own a bike that is commercial quality

Keiser M3I by far. If you wanna compare consider this. The Peloton bike, half the price is the bike and half the price is the monitor. Where as the Keiser M3I price is 100% solid quality bike. Commercial gym quality. Peloton is home use quality. Longevity, the Keiser will last a lifetime. With very little maintenance.
@GuruChaz3 жыл бұрын
I would choose the Keiser M3i and just use it with an app. If anything, make a decision. Don't leave people hanging and say..."well....I like both". You gave the Keiser more accolades so just say it. The main problem with some of these main commercial bikes with all the bells and whistles is seat slippage and overpriced subscription services. You want the seat to lock in place. Keiser for the win there. Put all the bells and whistles on the Keiser and you have the industry leader. Are you listening, Keiser?

I went with the Keiser M3i. I just want to add that it is essentially dead silent. Either that or my hearing is going. Probably a combination of both. I’m a relative novice at spinning and likely would have been happy with the Peloton. Like the flexibility of the Keiser platform and did not want to be locked into the Peloton system and monthly payment, especially since I already belong to a gym. For what it’s worth, the Keiser is a great ride, smooth and silent. I crank up the tunes and I’m off. Love its essential simplicity of design and quality. Is it the best, better or worse, I leave that for others to determine. It might be akin to comparing sporty hatchbacks. It’s all about the ride kind of. Thanks for the excellent review.

I use the Kaiser when I take a spin class at the gym and I use the Peloton Plus when I’m home ! Like you said, both great bikes. But over time, the front ‘vee’ part of the Kaiser does rust out from sweat and water and the fly wheel develops a clicking sound and it ‘slips’ and a tech is needed to fix it. And if you don’t make sure to lock in the seat, it’ll slip down on you during the ride. I see it all the time during class. I’ve only had the Peloton for 6 months and so far no issues.

I'm replacing my Peloton Bike. I've burned through EIGHT bikes. Number 9 comes May 4th. 3 years of agony with Peloton - not worth it. I looked at the Keiser long - I decided to go with the Stages SB bike. I'll hold onto the Peloton Bike (if the frame isn't warped like my last 3 have been - then I'll keep replacing it on the 30 day guarantee delivery warranty until I get a good frame) and keep it as a reserve during break-in on the Stages SB. If the Stages SB has a manufacturing defect - I'll send it back for the refund. Then I'll get the Keiser.

This IMO hands down the Keiser M3i is the better bike. Peloton is selling a package that includes an "okay" bike. The M3i is well designed, over-engineered so it begs the question why take a chance on a Peloton bike? I own a M3i and love the bike. I've ridden a couple of workouts on a friend's Peloton bike and no comparison. The adjustability of the Keiser and the overall feel are better with the Keiser. As he describes the Peloton, "I purchased a $1500 TV with a $500 bike". Yes, it's an exaggeration, but to his point, the Keiser is a much better bike, and it's cheaper. Not sure why anyone would want to be tied to one platform. For me, it seems to be a no-brainer. Is the Peleton garage, absolutely not, it's a good bike, but at what cost, $1,000/per bike in marketing costs? Keiser sells off their "reputation" and why it's found in so many commercial gyms across the USA.
