Interesting question Even though it is typically associated with sexually transmitted infections it is possible for someone who has not had sex before to develop PID, although this is relatively rare. It could happen with: 1. Non-sexual transmission: In rare cases, bacteria like E. coli or Staphylococcus aureus can cause PID through non-sexual means, such as: - Infection during medical procedures like IUD insertion or endometrial biopsy - Infection from a bowel or urinary tract issue - Infection through blood transfusion (extremely rare) 2. Virginity not equal to abstinence: Someone who has not had vaginal intercourse may still be at risk of PID if they have engaged in other sexual activities that can transmit bacteria, such as oral sex or manual stimulation. 3. Congenital conditions: In rare cases, PID can occur in individuals born with reproductive tract abnormalities or congenital conditions that increase the risk of infection. I hope that helps

Antibiotics. Triple therapy as indicated in the video. but make sure to get a high vaginal swab for culture and sensitivity before initiation of treatment

Hiii Dr. I got my ultrasound report few days ago and in it it's shows minimal fluid in pod and then chonic pid what should I do now now taking antibiotics from gynecologist how much should it takes to cure ???plzz and plzz suggest some antibiotics also and I didn't have symptoms of pid but i have a problem of vaginal discharge

Have you tried getting a culture for the same discharge? What has your primary care doctor told you, have you seen one? if not I advise you do
