I tried to climb it in torrential rain and wind last year, think it was October, but eventually we turned around... not sure how far we got but we gave it a good go.

Few years back couple of folks died on the summit there are being stuck by lightning…thunder storm just rolled in on a lovely summers day. There were rumours they were waving selfie sticks about but don’t know if any truth to that. Was up there Saturday morning just gone and a nice clear morning at bottom but blowing an absolute hoolie on the saddle between Corn Du and PYF. On a side note I never understand people who walk through the stream when there is a bridge right there. 😂

The weather can change so quick up there and a leisurely stroll turns into you can’t see where you’re going🤣. With us the bridge was under maintenance so had to go through the water at the end, was already soaked so didn’t make much of a difference🤣

@@Roam.Outdoors for sure…3 seasons in one day. To be fair it’s a totally different beast in the Winter. I know it like back of my hand up there but got caught in a total white out up there once at bottom of Jacob’s Ladder and just had to sit it out. 😬

@@racingspoon that’s crazy! I totally agree, people don’t understand how pen y fan can be dangerous in certain conditions. I once ignored everyone’s advice in snow conditions to turn back and next thing, couldn’t see a metre in front of me. Luckily I came across two Marines with a GPS who I tagged along with to get to the top, wish I had my go pro, would’ve made a great video 🤣
