@@micky1up After qualy cars go into parc fermé. So either the car wasn't checked before qualy or Merc broke parc fermé. Either way is not good for Merc and makes you... somewhat wrong.

Of course it's always checked, there were persons that handle these no matter it's after qualifying or race Being chased by 7 WDC driver make him sweat so much huh? The team should know better how close they gone by during the qualifying and insisting him to "pick up" MORE rubber after race, it's common practice for those who might at weight risk

Was Lewis’ race all afternoon. Russell slipped in under the radar and although it was clever, it also seemed a little underhand. Look at Maclaren last race. The strategy underhandedly gifted Norris the lead so they swapped. I’m a Norfolk boy but still not warmed to George.

1.5kg is huge. It explains why he could keep such great pace with old tyres. We wont know whjat could have been, but my guess is with the 1.5kgs lewis would have gotten him laps earlier before the end.

Mercedes is becoming too obvious in their abusiveness towards Hamilton only because they feel like he backstabbed them by leaving them, but many regards Toto as the one, who backstabbed Lewis, when they should've made the appeal in 2021

They are saying what gave Russel the victory is what caused the disqualification. They were already on the weight limit due to removing the new heavier upgraded parts and refitting the old existing, [which was a last minute decision]. And by changing their race plans and staying out on the same set of tyres the loss of the weight from the rubber eroded was enough to fail the weight test. [if he had pitted for another set of fresh tyres the same as Hamilton then he would have finished with more weight in rubber on the tyres enough to pass the tests.

I thought Mercedes should have let Hamilton by as Piastri was closing fast. Mercedes took a big chance and let the team race. Hamilton held off any huge lunge or stupid move to pass and had to settle for 2nd. While Russell made a good call on the one pit stop Hamilton ran a better strategic race. While I feel sorry for Russell, I felt Hamilton deserved the win.

There is no way it was just the tires, at 2kgs wear all tires would fail no matter what, the usual wear is 1kg, if they used 1.5kg more, he would have blow all 4 tires

@@Smudgie not sure what u mean by picking up the rubber? i've seen them weighing themselves with their helmet, but rubber? u mean they are standing on lift with their tires? i know they are weighing the cars at the start and finish the race, the tires with their rings are a lot heavier than 1.5KG.

I am a Max Verstappen fan, but after seeing how ecstatic George was after his win, I honestly feel deeply sorry for him. One, it was his call to do a one stop, witch was a bold gamble, so imo he totally deserved this win. Two, why punish the driver if the team blundered. I don't think that's fair at all. You can't expect the driver to check the weight of his car before he gets in. And if you want to punish him, why nog give him a grid penalty for the next race, instead of disqualify him. It wasn't George who cheated. He probably did not even know.

@@Hex___666 Sounds pretty fishy to me. Should be allowed a lot more than that if you know that tire wear can account for that much. In my opinion, that's not cheating. Generally speaking,, the one stop strategy backfires. The race pace is so slow that other cars with fresher tires more than make up the time for the extra pit stop. And the hard tires are slower for the whole run. So even when new, they are at a disadvantage.

@@gregrowe1168 Got nothing to do with race pace, has to do with setting the car up to a certain weight as you're planning to do two stops and with two sets of tyres you'd expect the tyres to weigh a certain amount at end, by doing a one stop he lost a lot more rubber and therefore weight than expected.

This is not how it should be done... It's not the winners fault... Lewis had always been a Cry Baby if things Don't go his way... Total misery as he walks around with his Helmet on.. That's his personality... Don't upset Lewis if the race Doesn't go his way.. The interview shows his Body language if NOT a winner.

I think they knew the car was overweight so Lewis was going to win anyway. This way they saved face. The scrutineering guy was in the garage watching the race over Totos shoulder. The same guy was then wheeling George’s car out from the scales. He had the pale orange top and the white scrutineering bib. I thought it was odd during the coverage. Am I being too suspicious or is there a coincidence in the events. It just don’t sit right.

Completely missing the point as usual. He did not win the race, he finished the race ahead of everybody in an illegal car. Big difference, i can do that. He would not have finished ahead of everybody had he been in a legal car. The team prevented a correct podium presentation so leclerc did not receive his moment . Stop making out that Russel has had something taken away from him when the truth is that it was he and mercedes who were the ones doing the taking. Luckily the rules rectify this type of thing. I dont feel sorry for Russel at all.

I have been watching F1 for almost 40 years and this year has sadly been the worst for the sport. I believe in " may the best driver win" but man the issues raising their heads are mind blowing. Error? You mean deliberate attempt to cheat. That's clear by leaving fuel in the car to fake like it made the proper weight when you know it has to be weighed without fuel. Which can only lead to one conclusion. They knew ahead of time the car was underweight yet still cheated and tried to sneak by. You know I wondered why Toto just sat there with a stone face when the Mercs which looked like they were going to finish back of the bus today went 1-2. Now I know, he cheated and was worried about being caught. But cheating is on par for Toto. Started cheating in 2014 and hasn't stopped.

@@dzeklakovic7568because there was a chance they could get away with the lie. Someone asked for a complete scan of the car to make sure there was no fuel (I think it was mclaren whobasked). They asked because they knew there was a chance for the car to be underweight given the fact that it only made one tyre change and at spa you can't pickup tyre debris because you don't get to do extra cooldown lap.
