Everyone who will see this before it premieres, it was a long journey to come to this moment, trying to learn 3D was a lot of pain but also very fun, and it took some damn time.., also, even tho this animation was a small and DIRTY side project I did while I was working on my MAIN series, which is also in the final stages of editing, episode 1 and 2 will come very fast after this preview/test animation i did. In between them I also have few more side projects i did in the meantime to keep my sanity. What I am trying to say, my god.. its been dry for 2 years, but now the flood gates are opening, and Emperor help us all

Absolutely love the warp transition. The tattered look is pretty creepy. I always had a vision of shattering glass, but the ripped sky is awesome. Looking forward to more. Remember to keep your cuts fairly short. There was a lot of secondary action going on in the background. Move some cameras around to capture some of the work youve already done. I hope you get to advance your passions in film making.

Super atmospheric - your shot composition and selection are immaculate! All those quick shots of the servitors and the statues, it just *feels* quintessential 40K. You’ve nailed the aesthetic so well and I think the B&W helps with that, super striking. Love how weighty the Marines feel too, these walking tanks that tower over everything around them and every step takes enormous willpower. Can’t wait to see where this goes, keep it up!

1 step at a time. An hour here an hour there. Do short cuts where you can. Try to get away with as many cheats that you can. The beauty of 40k is that you don’t need face rigging and there are a lot of references. And nice particle effects, very nice and simple. Fantastic rigging. Nice clean weight painting.

This was an awesome animation, but for the critique: In the beginning with the walking of the astartes, they all swayed left and right too much. Try to take notes from the astartes project by Syama Pederson when observing the walking animation. He nailed it (He nailed everything tbh). The Terminators left arm was way too stiff. The Mk.6 Corvus Corax helmet looks like someone punch the top of the helmet with a hammer. (too stubby). During the walking scene the terminator could be firing his assault cannon in more randomized time frames rather than a 5 second firing, 2 second break, 5 second firing again, 5 second break, repeat. Way too robotic and repetitive that it doesnt feel like he is actually firing at anything. Also the assault cannon could have been spinning way faster. His stormbolter hasnt fired either, I would imagine that was held just incase someone got too close to him. Didnt get to see it used. Then finally while I know terminators are arched over, this one was way too arched over. It may sound like alot but that is my personal critique, all out of good faith. Otherwise the running in the background was great, music is great, the sound effects great, and models are mostly great except for what I mentioned. My favorite part was the beginning with the ships exiting the warp. Fantastic work. Thats all my critique. The animation was awesome and I am so glad to see another astartes animation, hoping to see more. Earned yourself a sub. Keep up the great work!

Never understood the fascination with black and white. I can only think of 2 things I like in b&w. Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid, because it uses clips from old film noir. The second, Young Frankenstein. Nothing else is needed.

That specific one was custom mixed, muted bass sound is from several bolter sounds from space marine game, and the boom was a normal machine gun sound just heavily boosted and edited, took me a bit to get it right

Critical opinion. The first part is alright. The animation around 1:25 feels like stop-motion skeleton. The walking termi around 2:30 is almost boring, like it’s stuck on a loop for 2 minutes. Need more readable and varied bakground stuff to look at. The last part makes me want to watch the next episode. A good watch anyway, i give the "bad" as you asked for it.

Funny thing is this was supposed to be 1 hour long loop of just terminator walking only for the background, just because I liked the music so much after I discovered it few weeks ago xD and in the end I added to much, that in the end it raised expectations to much yeah, but I agree with all critiques!!
