Penelope is from Sparta..also she's just as clever as Odysseus is. She swore she'd marry when she finished weaving Laertes' burial shroud but every night, unbeknownst to the suitors, she unwove it. Also she came up with the idea to challenge the suitors to string Odysseus' bow

skldjf THANK YOU FOR ACKNOWLEDGING PENELOPE'S VIOLENT THOUGHTS IN THE ODYSSEY!!! So many people miss all her prayers of "Apollo, strike Antinous' heart!" and "May this meal be their last!" Like she WAS scared, but she was also so angry and had a lot of violent thoughts. If it weren't for the laws of Xenia, she would've definitely taken matters into her own hands in some way.
