I just finished the first season. As an ultralight survivalist hiker, this film resonates with truth, sincerity, and originality. The characters were genuine and interesting and the story was engaging. I have experienced so many highs and lows on both the Pacific Crest Trail and John Muir Trail, yet the one constant was always the kindness of strangers. This film is a cinematic masterpiece on every level. The music score and breathtaking cinematography of the indie series outshines most Hollywood productions. Please, please, please do a second season. Hopefully your storytelling will inspire many young people to explore the wilderness, make deep connections with other people, and challenge themselves outside their comfort zone.

Can you explain the ending?

Emile Hirsch would be proud

@@lillypatience I don’t want to spoil the massive cliff hanger ending for anyone here. Watch it again. Read it carefully and you will understand fully. As I previously said, this show really needs a season 2.

@@PhoenixGenesis a website did a write up on the ending. Their explanation doesn’t line up so wanted to know your take since you seemed to enjoy it. I did not enjoy this show at all.

The wolf is our friend Riggs from Roam Sanctuary in WA! 🐺 He is the sweetest big boy 🖤This movie reminds me of Into The Wild, I look forward to seeing it

Series objective mission : prepare the viewer to a life of homelessness
@PhoenixGenesis5 сағат бұрын
@@Eustace__Bagge I politely disagree. I have a very nice home with nice things and a family and friends. However, I take virtually nothing - going ultralight with a 22L backpack and with 8 pounds of gear - on the Pacific Crest Trail to challenge myself several times a year. You learn about your strengths and weaknesses while also meeting interesting kind people with whom you have memorable experiences and true human connections. This series captured that perfectly. Nature has a way of bringing out our best versions of ourselves if we let it.

Just done watching this, pretty slow and ending is freakin sad I think it’s her fault of what happen to the Mom and Dad Please to all teens out their do not do this, if you want to live in the woods ask Mom and Dad🙄 or wait until you grow up then buy a Cabin in the middle of the woods alone but still safe and you won’t hurt the people that care about you🙄

So no one else thinks the whole premise of the movie is weird af to glamorize……

I fast forwarded most of it.

It is Unique for sure, But as for Realistic... Not so much, a little girl hiking in the forest, never getting really dirty and muddy and wounded as hell, it reminds me of those really old westerns, where the cowboys were super clean wearing white hats, and their hair was always perfectly jelled ... Plus, "nice message" to little girls and to Predators walking on two feet.

I wish I could be called to live in the woods with a film crew, personal assistants and craft services.

Do you not know how fiction works? The character and their experience is not the same as the actor and their experience. I'm really worried about you.
