Great writing in how twisted Oz's back story is with his brothers. I also love how pissed he became when Salvatore died of a heart-attack. Sad there is only one left in the series! Bring it on.

If you notice at the end, when Oz is going up the ladder they focus the camera on his first steps onto it, wanting to emphasize NOW he’s able to climb the ladder as The Penguin

What about in the finale if the penguin completes the set and kills his mum?.She will find out he killed his brothers then turns on him.He then realises she's his biggest weakness and the final barrier to becoming the kingpin in Gotham so he shoots her in the head.This could show Sophia then she can't beat him and she runs in terror?.

Do you think Francis knows Oz killed his brothers? I feel like when they were dancing and she told him she deserves a good life it’s because she knows and now he has to take care of her. And also that’s what made her crazy, not Alzheimer’s. That’s why Oz keeps saying that the doctors don’t know what she has, first it was this now it’s that.

Now that he’s an adult she is hard on him because she knows the monster he really is. Sophia thought Francis was the monster that made Oz, but the reality is he’s the monster that made her.

What I find MOST interesting is what is different. It’s hard for me to picture a Harley Quinn character existing in this world . A shrink gone mad .. hmm. Seems like this Sins of Anarchy guy is already close to that himself. I dunno. Fun speculation

Yeah I totally agree, I think he IS this universe’s Harley Quinn (and maybe scarecrow also..a combination of the two). When I heard him say the line I immediately thought of Harley Quinn, but not in a “Harley’s showing up!” Kind of way, but like I said on the video, like a little Easter egg nod for fun. That she “could” be in this universe and that type is psychiatrist is exactly who Julian would know lol

@ I’m not a big comics guy but I really appreciate the imagination of it all. I prefer grounded stories so I like how he’s taking these ideas and doing his own version. I know some people are bothered by it but I look at it like there’s sooo many depictions in comics if every character . It’s not making Rocky Balboa or Luke Skywalker where you have 1 version. These are like mythological characters. I love to see something I’m not familiar with or unexpected so you REALLY can have an unknown future.

Yeah they’re doing a great job of grounding this and making it entertaining and thrilling. You don’t need to be a big comic head to enjoy it (my wife hasn’t read a comic and she loves this show)

While this show was happening in one side, on the other side Batman was probably fixing the Batcave as the flood might have destroyed it and his other gadgets. Probably fixing that while multitasking in helping the city as Bruce Wayne post flood. Lots of issues BUT I assume the show would end with him setting his sights on the outcome of the show without actually showing Pattinson. I wonder if there could be a teaser of the new Batcave and all future tech they might show in the batman sequel with a news replay via radio/tv of the outcome of this show. Remember Wayne Manor was an abandoned orphanage in the Batman movie so it would make sense to move back home away from the hustle of the damaged city isolated and also the spot for a new Batcave.

Tinfoil hat theory. Is Oz already 2 steps ahead? In an earlier episode when Sofia meets Vic in Oz’s apartment, Oz has to take a call and Sofia starts to grill Vic. What was that call all about? Could be just to setup Sofia and Vic chatting but maybe Oz was planting the seed for his checkmate move?

I had the thought watching last night, I kind of felt that Sophia was headed down the path of becoming the Huntress ( the Bertinelli version) After all, Sophia talked about doing things completely differently from her father in the future, and both are mob nepo babies. Later after the scene in the hospital, maybe cousin, (Gina?) might be headed in that direction

Just found this channel loving it. If they do adapt no man land do you think we will see the bat family. We dont really have time to introduce everyone but i want to see dick greyson n barbara gordon at least do the original dynamic trio. I would like a gordon spin off focusing on him dealing with corrupt cops like gotham.....but good. Introduce his daughter there give her a B plot that sets up batgirl

Great question!!! I don’t think we’ll get Grayson only because of the upcoming Dynamic Duo movie coming out. But I really think portions of No Mans land will be adapted and would love to see more bar family. And I think what this show has proven to us is they have an understanding of the characters and how they can exist in their world. I would LOVE a Gordon spin off also. Emily Meade is casted as young Francis Cobb and Rex Calabrese is played by Louis Cancelmi. The first time I saw those two was in Boardwalk Empire. I love how HBO/MAX gives actors and actresses tenure. I think that Sophia is going to survive all the way through season number 2. People love her being on the show. I think taking her out to early would lose a lot of viewers.

Holy f*ck this show! I kinda was sure that Oz would be somehow partially or fully responsible for the death of his brothers. But Lefranc blew my mind again with the most twisted and vicious outcome. And i thought that they would be brutally harassing him or something like that, while they are actually pretty normal decent kids. Also can we just say it? Julian is this universe's Scarecrow. Even if he never puts on the mask or is referred to as Scarecrow. It's just his voice, the way he talks, the way he moves and holds his hands often back together, he is so freaking creepy. Also my man, you have become my favorite channel for covering this. I wish you all the success and may this channel last for years to come!

The parrells of people in this show... sofia & gia, victor & 🐙, .... oz using the same hatch that killed his bros to save his life.. oz not telling any of his people theres a bomb due to him being crippled ...also i noticed the hooker oz dates reminds him of the female singer at the club his mom took him to plus episode before the picture of her saying this songs for you... oz is def a piece of work. Marconi dieing of a heart attack after another watch was plaussible his stitches never fully heeled an oz kept punching him in the gut, could have ruptured something that truggered his heart attack

Totally understand the whole villain concept and even chuckled when Oz shot brat Alberto in 1st episode. But hearing those boys banging on that door desperately when locked in and seeing little pu$$y mama’s boy’s face as he looked out at rain gutted me 😱😤🥺😰 Between that and him being at fault for Sofia’s nightmare decade at Arkham - I hate this character SO damn much!!!! I look forward to him getting thrown into Arkham forever 👏🏻🖕🏻🤬 Immediately loved everything about Sofia though. She’s become a villain but is one I can get behind! She didn’t start out like it but what a terrifying badass she became - out of necessity. And she SPARED the little girl! I mean, she’s not exactly in great place but really believe Sofia would’ve taken her in if wasn’t former “convict” She probably wasn’t allowed. Everything she’s done is as result of how a-holes have screwed her since she was a child. Colin Farrell, Cristin Milioti, Rhenzy Feliz rest of this cast are incredible 👏🏻❤️👏🏻❤️👏🏻 I love this series. Never had interest in The Batman film until watched the penguin. Just watched it and rewatched Penguin series. Looking forward to Sunday but bummed that it’s finale of first season. *Oh yeah … just watched your video about Julian. Never thought of that but totally see it now 🤔😳 Love it. Sorry for babbling 🤷🏻‍♀️😉 lol
