it’s hard to imagine how much of an issue the money would’ve even been, i agree with the latter statement of them being rushed. i obviously can’t speak for every VA of the characters in this game (i can’t speak for any of them really), but i’ve actually been to a few different conventions before where Tom Kenny and Bill Fagerbakke were on the panels and they both seemed like super fuckin' chilled, genuine guys who really just adore the characters they both voice! not saying they would’ve done it as a freebie or anything, but neither of them struck me as dudes that would be hard to come to an agreement with. obviously some characters would be harder to get the original VA’s for than others (e.g; Ren and Stimpy would be almost impossible) but i digress. i hope they do add VA, or at the very least add vocals that capture the likeness of the cast, because i feel like having no verbal dialogue hurts the game and makes it a bit, i don’t know, lifeless and flat i guess you could say. here’s hoping it is developed into the game at a later date!

@@aura8447 here’s what i think. i think this game has a real niche, which may either work favourably or may work against it. i do feel like this game *REALLY* relies and leans heavily on nostalgia. a lot of the cartoons in which the current roster are from haven’t actually aired for a number of years; some of them haven’t even been on TV or been on a syndicated network (outside of reruns) for literal decades! no 14 year old is going to know who cat-dog or Oblina are. it’s hard to know who this game caters for. i mean the obvious answer is "kids" right? but more than half the cast, as it stands, aren’t really characters that many (if any) teenagers would have any familiarity with, because most of the characters are from programs which are well before their time. i really only see this game going either one of two ways: it being a success that slowly gains traction and gains a cult following and loyal fans (much like Killer Instinct did) _OR_ it being just a straight up flop, and merely only being created out of fan service and a novelty. i do wish it all the best though, and i do hope it does well!

This game is really catching the heat and a lot of videos so seeing how this game is doing well Nintendo is most likely gonna up the budget for them and have it more people than just 9, and the devs have a lot of passion for it so they are def gonna do the best job, later on in around a year or so I def see this going far if they treat it well. It works really well with nickelodeon since they have a lot of shows that hole nostalgia and they can def take a factor from that. Exited to see where this game heads!

It’s not really 1-to-1 but there’s definitely similarities. Though, when making a fighting game it’s kinda hard not to have it look similar to Smash or Street Fighter/Mortal Kombat since those are really the main two styles for this stuff

They put enough of a unique spin on the formula that it stands solidly on its own. Shield -> teeter mechanic, strafing, strong/light attacks in air, aerial grabs and grabbing any projectile, rock-paper-scissors interaction between moves that cause special conditions, dash being cancellable into basically everything etc. Calling it a 1-to-1 recreation isn't giving it justice when it's clearly innovating on a tired genre.

I know ya'll are here to meme and all, but man I am so fucking proud of these guys. In case you didn't know, Fair Play Labs, the developer, is from Costa Rica. I can tell you that in this country being sucessful as an artist is really hard as there isn't any sort of support from people, generally. Whenever you try to do something cool in here you're gonna be met with what we call "serruchapisos", which translates to "floor sawers", just overall people that try to bring you down. But these guys got to do this project for Nickelodeon, and sure dude, it might not be perfect, but knowing the background of the overall lack of support the place they come from offers it is absolutely cool to me to see them making such a big project, even if the budget wasn't the best. These guys are some of the most passionate developers I've ever seen and I respect them for that, they really wanted to make something good and in social media you can see how proud they are of this game. Props to them

Your kill strikes have to be on the outside. The ai will not want to go towards the outside because they know you're going for a Kill, so you have to bait them by going to the outside edges, then swap places and kill. You are tending towards the center to avoid dying yourself, which prevents this opportunity. Going for the kill, you have to create the position by knowing how they will react
