Saying you have a boyfriend is literally the only one that works. They obviously don’t just accept “no”, they think you’re lying if you say you’re gay, and even saying “I’m a minor” doesn’t work on most of them.

@@herculesbrofister265 it was a joke man. I know that alot of pickup artists incorporate push-pull, where they tease a woman to create tension and then they compliment them to release the tension. Its a simple demonstration of confidence and it works if its genuine, because it shows that you are not afraid to make a statement that may offend. Pull- push on the other hand is just stupid, because why would you compliment someone and then take it back. It just comes across as rude.

As a female who's had pickup lines used on her, there was only one instance where I thought it was cute. It was this man who had left the store, and came back a few minutes later. He was definitely shy and nervous to say it, but said "I forgot something .." And I was genuinely curious, wondering if he left his wallet or the like. He had one hand behind his neck and kinda stuttered and said "your number" and, had I been single at the time, I would have given him my number. He seemed like he mustered up all of his courage to do that and it was endearing

Additionally 3 more things are happening: The first one is that women get complimented on their looks a lot, and when somebody compliments your looks, a girl's mind goes to "Oh no, they want to have s3x with me", that's an uncomfortable feeling. You don't want to make the other person feel like you're up for whatever they are imagining, so rejecting is always the safest option. Second, since women get complimented on their looks all the time, it becomes tired and bored and borderline meaningless. If you want to compliment somebody, you've got to compliment other things. Their style, their makeup, their intelligence, their voice, etc. Something original that will stand out. And finally, last but not least, try to NEVER approach people when they are out and about. People are busy, minding their business. They aren't in Target or Wallmart looking for romance. When you derrail a person from what they are doing, that is annoying. If you want to approach people it is better to do it in slow paced environments. A park if they are sitting on the sun and chilling, or at a coffee shop, or more traditionally at a bar. If you want to make your life easy, slip them a piece of paper with your phone number on it and dip. Leave the ball on their court.
@dextershelby5780
@dextershelby5780 2 жыл бұрын
I think that the environment it's important too however I think that if you make the interaction natural you can have a more opened person rather than you just make explicit that you have romantic or sexual interesting. Like in the part that he approach the woman in the market, if he started with "Hi, I'm here to buy *thing that the woman was buying*, and you" or "can you help me?" just to start a natural conversation beginning by there.

I think this guy got too anxious a lot of times. Like there was a couple times where he just about had their interest, but then he expected it to turn out awkward and so it did. You just have to remember you can’t predict the future. I give him props for trying, but my advice would be is to be cool, calm, and collected. This kind of stuff is counter intuitive, and works best when you’re not trying to get their number.

@JA-jx1hk

The thing is men really aren’t looking for friendships with women. If a man doesn’t insinuate right away that he is looking for a romantic relationship the girl will usually friendzone him unless she’s very attracted to him. It’s a low risk but also low reward strategy trying to befriend a girl when your goal is to achieve a romantic relationship with her. And you will only resent her when you see her hook up or date guys that didn’t need to befriend her first. So it’s better to just be honest about your intentions right away.

One time I was at a club and I saw this pretty woman sitting alone. I kept checking her out and decided to hit on her. Anyway, I got up and walked towards her location. She was about 80ft away and I had to go around the side and approach her from the back because she was sitting on a raised platform. Anyway, I make it to her and tap her shoulder to get her attention and already had a plan of what I was going to say. She turns around and she was lets say not as pretty from close up. I was not at all attracted to her. This threw me off and without thinking I said what I had planned on saying beforehand (the jist was that I saw her from across the room and felt compelled to come over and introduce myself). Not to sound arrogant, but I’m a decent looking guy. Attractive enough to garnish the attention of pretty women. Anyway, the woman I was hitting on was pleasantly surprised and asked in an excited way “really?! you actually did?”. My brain had shut off and all I could think about was how to get the fuck out of there. So I played it like I was offended that she questioned me/didn’t believe me and just left lmao. I feel bad for doing that, but that’s all I could think of doing at the time. It still cracks me up and feel the cringe to this day.

The man said in one of the videos the light was on his Ray Ban glasses which are new glasses with a camera. He said that specifically in the apple store clip Charlie shows here. So it’s not the flash light he has on, it’s a red light on the front of the glasses that turns on. It’s more subtle than just phone in hand and flash on. All of us must fail in order for the world to be just and fair. And should a guy succeed, I find solace knowing that the relationship will likely fall apart like most do. The closest I have ever been to using a pick-up line was in a dumb convo. My sis had posted a pic with her tongue sticking out. I thought it looked like a hotdog so I asked her why she had a hotdog in her mouth. My sis called me a dork. Her best friend commented that it did look like a hotdog. Sis says "Shut up! He doesn't need any support!" I reply, "Yes I do. For my balls." My sister's bestie thought I was funny and we dmed. Now we have been together for 10-years and married for 6.

As far as context from the clip, we don’t see how she reacted or what happened afterwards. Maybe he got the number, maybe they became friends, maybe he got rejected again and walked away. Last time I was friendly back to one of those guys on the bus, even the "I have a boyfriend" line didn't work and he stopped where I stopped. I was going to visit a friend at work at a Uni campus coffee shop and he insisted that I followed him to his place, no natter how many times I told him no. He seemed...not all there as well. He followed me in, kept trying to ask me why not and why I wouldn't follow him back to his place, and that's when I stopped being fearful and just exploded at him to fuck off and the campus security had been alerted by my friend when I told her what was happening. He finally left. According to her, he came by each day for a week scouting the area, thinking I was working there I suppose since I was hanging out behind the counter. I promised myself I wouldn't be as friendly ever again with strange men, because goddamn it bit me in the ass, as I'm usually a very sociable person. It was horrifying. I just wish guys would understand why we feel the need to be distant and even cold when approached like that sometimes, because too many of em take advantage of your friendliness, and see it as a green light to pester you and stalk you.

The guy would literally turn around in his seat and try to give seductive faces to me during class, so I should've known he'd never take no for an answer...I agreed to hang out one day, specifying just as friends, and he kept going on about bringing me home to meet his family, wanting to build a kingdom for me where I would be his queen, wanted to take a picture of me so he could show his family, got down on his knee in front of people and pretended to propose to me...I started walking fast to get away from him, saying I needed to get laundry and stuff done and he asked if he could hang out in my dorm while waiting for the laundry...I said "No" and rushed into my dorm building alone. I didn't agree to meet up with him again but he was still trying to text me asking if I would come to his dorm to watch a movie a couple times to which I said no. Anytime I saw him on campus I felt uncomfortable. He'd stare at me from across the dining halls while I ate with friends and my friends would try to tell me it was cute, that I should give him a chance ("Well give him *your* number then!" We gotta respect that he’s getting out of his comfort zone. He might struggle but he chooses to do it. What else is he supposed to do about being nervous in social situations rather than challenging himself. To be fair, pick up lines might not be the best choice but I respect the mentality of trying and also his mentality of accepting no for an answer

@@arshadzaidi4667 you don't want to date anyone who actually uses Tinder, plus we had things before Tinder so I think that sentiment is kind of dumb, humans just not allowed to socialize in public anymore? The problem isn't that he's talking to strangers the problem is he isn't being natural and talking to the strangers as if they're a normal person and just telling them that they look attractive, while also invading their privacy recording them.

The main problem with pick up lines and this guy in general, is that it isn't an organic way of interacting with humans, let alone a female that you are trying to impress.
