37:30 The problem with targeted ads is the fact that they store your information. No one thinks targeted ads are the end of times, but its like seeing a note in your bathroom saying "We just came by to wash your toilet" which sounds like a good thing until you realize they have unrestricted access to your house. They don't have bad intentions(yet), but they still have your info. It's up to them what they do with it. Just because you gave your info away thinking its being used for targeted ads doesn't mean you get to erase it when they decide "Hey, I want to give it to the government." Just like Kaya said, they have all your information but they don't know who you are as a person. They might know your name and what you look like, but everything else is purely through your search history. Obviously, if you're looking at creepy shit you're a creepy person, but in the case of that Runescape guy all the circumstantial info was used to create a false narrative. He made a death threat on a game, they search his house, they find criminal stuff on his computer(because his family studied criminal law), and he's in jail for threatening domestic terrorism. That's even worse for Charlie since he makes videos on weird shit. Imagine if someone accused him of a sexual crime, and in court they bring up his search history of sexual things like incel subreddits, pick-up artists, fleshlights and poop cakes, they'd think your a sexual deviant and put you in prison. They don't care about context because they think that info is the be all end all for evidence.

You guys actually just came up with a really lucrative business type tbh. Famous bands doing personalized shows at a tiny venue, you pay 20, maybe 30 bucks a person. Each person gets like a beer or a shot or whatever, the band plays 3-4 songs at random (takes 15-20 minutes depending on the genre) and afterward the fans could have a very close personal feeling Q&A for 15 minutes due to the small room, then you move to the next group. I honestly think that's an interesting idea.

The reason that they can’t directly stream new films to people, is that there was a law passed in the last century in the u.s which put an end to the studio system. The film companies cannot control the exhibition of film . That falls to theaters. Streaming straight to homes via a film studio subscription would be breaking that law.

It is seriously one of the most annoying thing in the world.

It really only applies to Event Cinemas specifically, there are plenty of cinemas in QLD that are under $10 for tickets and have good seats etc. you can even drink in some of them. The one I frequent in Brisbane is $5.50 for tickets, has leather reclining seats and usually only about 15mins of ads.
