He even paid for the lease on her house and paid half for her car once she moved out. He just didn't pay for a therapist after she broke up with her boyfriend. I know I wouldn't. Not because I don't believe therapy helps, but because a break up is definitely not something that needs therapy. Also she spent way more time with her dad than I have with mine and I wouldn't call my dad a runaway. Like her dad my dad paid for child support each month and I got to see him for 4 weeks total each year. 2 weeks in the summer in Switzerland where I was born and he lives and 2 weeks in Sweden where my mother moved with us after the divorce. This dad clearly cares for his daughter. Obviously he's clearly leans a bit much on the right side politically (both sides if leaned on too much is just headache inducing imo. Both have valid problems, but the ones that lean too much sees non existing problems and think of extreme methods. Now he does not use extreme methods as far as I'm aware, but saying therapy is "woke" (a word that has lost it's meaning) is definitely a problem that isn't there. Therapy does cost too much and current education especially with how jobs work today is a total scam though.), but he has done nothing wrong when it comes to raising her. Like she said in her second response they only met once every 2 months like that's much more than I met my dad. And I still love him and my mum. It's clear that like he said her mother badmouthed him (which I don't understand. Just get a divorce and move on. You don't become enemies all of a sudden: my mum and dad still remained friends afterwards. Damn people today really uses the word trauma for anything that they didn't like growing up and for anything that makes them sad seeks therapy. You do not get to determine whether someone needs therapy enough or not- I really don't understand why you think it's such a bad thing for someone to reach out for help with something going on in their life. Which, by the way, break ups absolutely can be a reason for therapy and you don't need to have "deep rooted issues" to seek therapy. You seem like an old ass man stuck in the past. It doesn't do anyone good to bury issues they have and allowing it to build up and overwhelm them because there's apparently something wrong with seeking help with processing your emotions just because you think their reasoning isn't good enough. You'd be a terrible therapist if you don't even understand what trauma actually is or what it can be.

There's no consideration of where the money is going what is happening and obviously the children are not aware and it's not their fault but that's how in the end some father who are not garbage get "hated" by some of their children because of narratives created by the mother and since they're not here to defend themselves all the time well... @devinfleenor31888 ай бұрын
@@solidway She will be ok, she has a good dad. I think in a way it humanizes both people. We are so used to seeing just the surface on social media that can be canned, packaged and marketed. Here we got a nuanced view and a reminder that families and divorces are complicated and it is possible for two people being a victim of a situation without one of them being a "bad guy". There doesn't always need to be a villian for people to have hurt feelings and trauma. Good men can fall short of their children's expectations, good women can place blame where it probably shouldn't. That doesn't mean these people are bad, that doesn't make the hurt feelings less real. It is a shame it had to be so public, but maybe people can learn from this and there is a silver lining. I agree however that those shouting about the woke mind virus on one side and those shouting about all men bad from the other side are not helping nor is this the appropriate subject to engage in culture warring. This is about family, perspective and a traumatic situation.

There's no excuse, that's just a spoilt kid's rambling. 15k is the equivalent of some people's 3+yrs salary(google if you think im bullshitting). And they get that per month. @privateName419 Heads up for people who don't understand that alimony and child support structures vary among states, times, and individual cases. Whatever deductions you came up with may be wildly off. Again, Alimony is paid for a limited time. We don't know if the mother was still receiving any payments from the father at the time the daughter claims she had these medical issues. Why are we blindly believing the father and dunking on the daughter when neither have provided evidence for any claims? You don't even know if the father paid the mother any amount. You also don't know if the mother spent the money she received on her children. The mother may have been withholding the money.

What's the point of a dad who sends you happy birthdays without a single gift. At least her dad sent a t-shirt birthday gift or not. They are also set for life thanks to him. That's more then what the average dad does for his family and she can still complain. In the response she said she doesn't know the financial situation and doesn't refute it. @@nickwilliams5967 I think this also has a lot to do with the culture in California. If you genuinely believe we live in a patriarchy and men are r@ping everything. Then all of the contempt and entitlement suddenly makes sense. They are taught to be toxic in that state. Take the gender pay gap. It reflects the fact men work longer hours to contribute to their families. Yet they twist that sacrifice into something to be resentful over "The wage gap". Yet in the U.S. healthcare is up to 30% of your compensation. Businesses in the U.S. spend 2x as much on women's healthcare. Yet your job gives it to both genders as if they are the same. Meaning men are being forced to subsidize the healthcare of their female coworkers. Yet no one ever taught us to be bitter or resentful about it. We just accept that it is the way it is because women need the help.
@bigbabado82968 ай бұрын
@@ScottOverholt-z5i The thing is, most women don't think all men are horrible people, it's an exaggeration. Plus, there are many situations where men still hold much more power over women, (albeit things are much more equal now and in some situations lopsided) mostly due to stereotyping of male/female behaviors. (Women being less "logical" and therefore their opinions matter less) Women (in general) don't just attack any man over wage gap issues, it's going to be those in power. As for Healthcare, businesses spend more on women's Healthcare (mostly due to pregnancy), which has led to problems where many will simply not hire someone for a job because they are pregnant or have the chance of becoming pregnant (hence why you can't ask if someone is expecting to start a family in job applications) There's also that yes, many (again, not close to all) do use these to be bitter and resentful towards women, and I'd imagine more would be if stuff like the Healthcare facts were more well known. Hell, even facts get muddied in the waters and get turned into mistruths a lot. There's a lot of things both genders are taught to hate about the other and it gets amplified tenfold by the internet, who love to generalize about groups of people. (Women doing manual labor and men doing childcare gets a looot of people from both genders saying crazy things.) It seems like looking at things case-by-case is just impossible for a lot of people. Truth is, just like the daughter and the dad, people just spend way too much time listening to the craziest stuff on the internet and it's affecting everyone's perception on things. The daughter seems like she just wants clout and lied about her dad (her dad provided decent evidence to show she was lying tbh), and her mom might have also been lying to her too. The dad seems to go off the rails towards the end about "school indoctrination to woke ideologies" when most of the time it's just kids hearing about stuff from the internet or a single misinterpreted headline of a single school that gets blown out of proportion. A class will talk about sexism in historical terms and it gets twisted as "woke" despite being part of the curriculum for decades because people who dont go to school hear some rando go crazy about it. Both these people just need to go to therapy to talk it out but instead put it on the internet for the world to see. It's just a "please log off" situation, nobody here is really likeable (especially if the racism story for the dad is true.)

Fun fact, a common piece of advice in many talent industries is if you fail or misperform part of your act, you don't acknowledge the error and move on as if nothing happened. This is great for dancing, singing, acting, etc. But not so great for real life. If you make a mistake in a social situation, you should own up to it and try to make it right.
@Newt27998 ай бұрын
For sure morally that’s the right thing, but often when people try to apologize on the internet it ends up making the situation worse- depending on how bad the apology is. Often when companies make a mistake on social platforms they either make the quickest bland apology or say nothing and wait for people to forget because that’s the optimal strategy that doesn’t (usually) draw as much attention. Apologizing can also lead to being sued in certain situations because you’re admitting to fault
@MawdyDev8 ай бұрын
@@Newt2799 that's the thing--the apologies typically considered "bad" are the ones where the one "apologizing" doesn't take accountability for their actions or make any effort to right their wrongs. An apology where you focus more on justifying your actions than on trying to take accountability for them will just piss people off.
