@priestychan16683 ай бұрын
On his wife leaving him in this debarkle: I think he said the event is supposed to be used to cover his dream wedding, which he couldn’t afford. Most decent women would accommodate if they knew the wedding is way out of fiancée’s league financially, thus I strongly think the real case is closer to him lying to wife about finances, and now is found out. This plus his wife finding out what his true colours after this scamming kids stint. The shamelessness. The blaming of everyone but himself. Maybe even private convos where he sound like it’s wife’s fault he go into this scam by demanding an expensive wedding.

I went to school with her, and I'm surprised about it, A few years ago the two of them became hated in my community because they created a charity. Then set up a Santa's grotto, then cancelled it due to a certain virus (however the virus had been about for a few years at this point, so it wasn't a last minute decision), then said they'd send the disadvantaged kids it was set up for some chocolate selection boxes. They both got a huge amount of flak because they had a pile of donated toys and gifts that they suddenly weren't sending out.

Billy Coull: "I used AI for spell-checking." LibreOffice is free and has spell-checking. Microsoft -Orifice- Office has spell-checking. Even MacWrite from the mid-1980s had spell-check. Microsoft Word in the mid-90s had spell AND grammar check. Cell phones have a somewhat-decent AutoCorrect. Why does one need AI to spell-check? All of the above would flag "encherining," "catgacating," "perforrmances," "cartchy tuns," "exarserdray lollipops," and "pasadise." Firefox caught them all. "Sweet teats" would not have been flagged, as those are actual words that are spelled properly. But the six other VERY OBVIOUS spelling errors?

I'm a Lead Exhibition & Events Designer, this has been laughed at so hard in our industry and a prime example of why we do not use AI in the Design and Engineering department. It's too vague, often out of budget or extremely difficult to produce, this is what we're trained to know. We know where to embellish or reduce and innovate where we can. The Ai is just throwing everything it finds in carelessly like it's an abstract painting. Of course, the client or company funding the experience will sign off on it because IT LOOKS epic and if you're stupid enough to sell them the pipe dream then you deserve to fail. Once a project is signed off concepts and visuals go through rounds of changes, technical drawings are drawn up often using these project files and furniture/props are made. Artwork and print assets are also produced alongside purchasing. The guys put Ai in the driving seat and crashed.

All these voices about how AI is going to replace everything soon are laughable. I am from a field related to machine learning (so - "AI"), I have knowledge in it, and the hype just keeps on overestimating AI's abilities. Especially it's ridiculous about ChatGPT and how it's used in right-wing propaganda.
@ianharrison57583 ай бұрын
@@ArtificialFertilizerI think the issue when it comes to AI replacing jobs isn’t that AI rn is good enough to be a threat to the vast majority of people, bc it’s not. It’s that we will eventually reach a stage where that’s no longer the case, and our governments and corporations will let it. The AI we do have are profitable enough in some fields to start being used as a crutch or to replace people, and the fact that it’s already being used as such(even if it’s done dumb shit like this guy) means it will only get worse. Imo the issue isn’t AI taking over jobs, it’s that people need those jobs to live. It’s not the AI that’s the problem, I actually think as long as we don’t fuck around and enslave sapient AI bc “it’s not real” or whatever stupid reason, that it will be what drives us into what could be a beautiful future. It’s just unfortunate that society revolves around money, and the hoarding of it rather than the most effective and equitable distribution of resources in order to meet peoples needs, provide a life of dignity and advance the species. We are already at a point where resources are only a issue because we hoard them. It sucks but as long as the profit motive exists those in power are guaranteed to exploit technology and people rather than use it benefit us all.

@@ianharrison5758 oh AI can abosultely replace a whloe lot of jobs by now as AI isn't just ChatGPT or Midjourney. It will just be a change in position for a few people like overseeing the work the AI does. If we want it or not we are moving towards the next "industrialization" (industry 5.0). You can fear for your job or try to adapt to new situations. We for example use AI systems for industrial maschines and the amount of people now needed for the same job went down to 1-2 workers per shift (prior there were over 10 people working). I think a huge part of the controversy comes more or less from the word itself "AI", but there is no intelligence in any of these systems by now. In the end we have big industries that will hardly feel any difference even with the introduction of advanced AI systems. We need to accept though that this is just the beginning of AI.
