@@magicoil1572 The 1 star reviews are actually deserved on Steam in most cases. It's from people that can't run the game at all, or the game runs like shit for them. The release is trash on PC and Fromsoft deserve to be called out on it - it was cute 10 years ago when releasing niche games, not it's pathetic. They are running away with MILLIONS on PC and couldn't be bother to do ANY QA testing. Oh and whoever programmed the camera with mouse - deserves to be fired ASP. Mate I have 3 PC's: - On 1070 (the RECOMMENDED card, meaning they tested it the most) it runs on 40 fps NO MATTER THE SETTINGS with 30% GPU utilization. - On 3080 - it runs between 60 and 50 and drops to 25 every 30 sec. - On my 1060 (the one i played it on), was running at 60 fps with drops to 20 every 2-3 min. The 1 star Steam reviews are CORRECT. My own review (My 2nd in 6 years) is 'do not buy".

Elden ring does one thing above all; Worldspace. The reason its so fun and engaging to explore is because it feels like it could be a real place, in a real world. Doesnt just seem like a map with some enemies sprinkled on. It feels actually alive. This game is an absolute MASTERCLASS in world building and that overflows into every other element of gameplay in such a beautifully fluid and engaging manner. Easy 11/10

dude fr. its the first open world game to truly feel openworld. you can spend so much time exploring and looking for all the things spread out everywhere. the exploration is trivial collectible stuff. if you want to explore you are rewarded for it. the game also doesn't feel linear like a lot of other openworlds are. it truly is one of the best "Roleplaying Games" ever. you feel every step you take and all the different places you travel to. like you said, masterclass in terms of being an actually open world.

9 months later but what version of Elden Ring did you play? The one I played had 0 homes, farms, few and far between villages and exclusively random wandering enemies that didn’t do anything whatsoever except wander around and do nothing. Quite literally ER is the opposite of what you described, its full of random enemies, meticulously and unrealistically placed side dungeons that are video gamey as hell and copy pastes to the point of all immersion being obliterated. No real place I’ve been in has the exact same cobblestone structure every few miles that is identical to the last.

As a mage builder focused SOLELY on intelligence it’s been… “relatively” easy so I decided to make it slightly harder by using the Carian Slicer taking up a magic spell so I can have a melee attack. I’m basically a battle mage bc if it but it’s worked bc when I start a warrior or dex character I can be more prepared. Using magic can be a cheat. My buddy is far better at the game but I pulled ahead for a while even after starting late bc of magic. But that being said I’ve always loved magic. And when I get pissed at an enemy or boss… I’ll go into straight blasting. Sorry not sorry.

Holy shit I had no idea how large this game was. Seeing him zoom out on the map and showing just how much that upper continent absolutely _dwarfs_ both Limgrave and Caelid _together_ and not only that, but he didn't even have to full overworld map yet, _and_ there's the underground sections that couldn't be seen. My god.

I found using the spell 'blood flames' to buff a pair of hook claws absolutely destroys radahn. Bait him into a full combo and quickstep behind him, you can often get 1 bleed proc and 2-4 more hits on him meaning you can play aggressive and get a second proc pretty quickly. If I'm using summons I can skip the second phase entirely by DPSing him so hard he doesnt get a chance to leap. My favourite boss of the game so far I must have put my sign down and killed him a hundred times by now. I got it down to 3 minutes and it's the fastest soul farm I have access to at the moment 21k souls every 5 minutes (to account for summoning and failed attempts)
