Something that even sadder I never realized when I first watch this movie was the scene Peni lost her sipder suit. I never understood it at first but I felt sad anyway. Then I realized she was not sad she lost a suit because the spider her best friend is okay its her final peace of her dad she had left because that suit was mad by her father. Even though at the end of the movie she remade it she knows deep done its not the same suit. Its just a copy of her father robot of someone she loved. WHY DOES TAGIC AND HORRIBLE THINGS HAPPEN TO MY FAVORITE CHARACTERS!!! WHYYYYYY!?

I love how they double down on the evangelion theme and style of her entire story. They could have made her a parody of anime in general and taken elements from other mecha like gundam. But you can see how the writers choose to base the world of eva directly. Hell we can even see the Eva cast in her classroom in one of the panels.

This completely reminds me Evangelion... Parent dies inside the mech they are in, a sibling mech 'malfunctions' and goes rogue while a friend/someone they know dies alongside it, the people responsible for forcing Shinji and Penny inside didn't really care about the pilot's feelings... Ah right, the suits are also alive considering how Venom absorbed the two just like how Shinji's mom got absorbed into Eva 1, though the first was by force while the second was through her own volition. It's a bloody miracle Penny isn't Shinji during the start of End of Evangelion/4.0... Unless Miguel or Peter B. was there to pull her out.
