Penn was a fantastic guest! I really didn't know anything about him apart that he hates his character in 'You' (which was a breath of fresh air since actors can try to glamorize/defend their awful characters). But he's hilarious and also seems very down to earth. I hope they bring him back on this show. It's too bad Gourley wasn't here this time.

Because he’s a psychopath/sex addict/serial killer and his victims are not “real” to him. They’re also interchangeable. To him, women really are merely objects. Like every dude in Hollyw00d really. Joe is just a composite of their real life attitudes towards the revolving door “object” of their “affection/obsession”. We like to think Joe is anomaly. I feel like he represents a part of every guy’s brain when they become powerfully attracted and aren’t good with women. Tate is a good “real life” example. Stunted, violent, charming and deadly. And others. For Joe? It’s a conquest/hunt. He then gets his targets, takes his trophies & moves onto new ones. Much like Dexter or Soprano or even Taylor Swift? These anti-heroes do heinous things that regular people do SAY: “WHY, WHY, WHY?” Joe also must have MAJOR mommy issues. He lacks any sort of empathy or genuine respect towards women. Otherwise? He’d never stalk & kill. He’s turned off his humanity switch. But he fancies himself a chivalrous & hopeless romantic…and that’s the most deluded & horrifying part. Couldn’t watch after the first season. Domestic violence is all too real on this planet. And this show glorifies that. Traumatizing. And no…it’s not “just a show…relax”…it’s making violence seem seductive & entertaining with that dark & clever edge. There are too many Joes out there…who get away with stalking, r*p€ & m*rd€r every day. But please: keep laughing at violence against women. It’s all just SO hilarious: isn’t it? 🤮🤪🤬🤯🥵😱🫣🤓🥸🤩🤡💩

You missed the whole point of the show it seems in it being about a serial fantasist who does what he does by constantly chasing a relationship he never got when growing up and who'll ultimately end up consuming his mind and his own life because nothing ever lives up to the thrill of the fantasy in his head.
