I think more of dexter. Norman bates was highly delusional, and aggressive. Dexter had a reason and a morality, always questioning his motives and results. Dexter as like joe also, show no emotion and no remorse, although joe knows how to feel love or what he thinks is love. Joe is highly disturbed because he is a sociopath who doesn't realize it, he just foes bad things because he feels he is pushed to do those things instead of letting things go. Interesting monster.

He loves beauty and passion, but even when he cried and confronted beck about her affair with her therapist he quickly reconsidered and reconciled once beck told him that she loves joe. To me at that moment was kind of odd, but now I get. Like peach joe knows how to manipulate, and I bet calculates things beforehand. Now I really feel bad for beck, to be murdered by who she thought was her true love. Beck fucked up all the time, being used, from man to man, from father with another family, from peach and her experiments, beck was a mess, but she meant good. In the end beck did not know how to handle a monster like joe, and I don't blame her. Imagine yourself living with a person who has killed people around that you loved knowing well that he can do that to you when he feels betrayed. Scary thought.

Maureen Kitty To be fair, there’s murder and stalking in all 3 shows so of course people are going to make comparisons. PLL and GG are the roles they are known for. They should’ve known people would compare the two, to You. You is very different, yes, but there are also similarities. PLL is one of my all time favorite shows and this felt like the grown up version, what PLL could’ve been if it had been on a different network. To say they are “only” being compared because there’s a stalker isn’t really fair tbh. Take two main characters from two teen favorite shows and put them in a new show with the same kind of vibes and there’s obviously going to be similarities and comparisons.

Well no, it's not just the stalking it's them. It's that we haven't really seen Shay and Penn in a series since PPL and GG, and both shows have very committed fans and want to imagine a continuation of those worlds, and this particular project has certain darker similarities with both PPL and GG so the comparisons are almost unavoidable just by the virtue of the leads and the narrative.

Beck to me, maybe there is a chance to come back, but Peach ... She was shot in the head, the chances are minimal. I think honestly, Beck may have survived that hanging and will be back last season to haunt him. Never will the series end with Joe getting away with his crimes.

I’ve been so intrigued by Elizabeth ever since she first was shown in the show…she’s just so interesting. And I like how she is in real life as well. She seems very similar to Beck.
