I, generally, use a ratcheting, interchangeable regular-sized screwdriver for the initial loosening of screws. Here's a link to the brand I use:

Get some additional, varying sizes Flathead and Phillips bits while you're at it.
The adjustable wrenches I use (instead of hex nut wrenches) are Husky, but these (with the red insert) work very well... 6-inch will be used the most:

Looking into some new bigger reels for land based shark fishing. How much drag can one of those Penn international 80 TW put at max? Seen some good deals for them used but want to make sure they can put out a good amount of drag.

@@TSGReelService don’t have one yet, I’ve seen some good deals on them though and am looking into them or a newer big game reel such as an Avet, but can’t find any information on the old international models

I fished the 50 version when they came out and we fished them at 30lbs of drag at strike and 100lb line no problem so the 80 has even more. Usually the guys into big sharks from the beach by me in Florida fish 80 to 100lb braid and they are more concerned with capacity than drag. This International 80 you're looking at 1500 yards of 100lb braid with space for say 100-150 feet of 200lb mono as a shock leader. Some guys will go 2000 yards of 80lb. That's how most guys are setting up for the beach where I'm at. You could 100% fish this reel kayaking baits out for big sharks. If you think about it guys fish 14/0 Senators for giant sharks very successfully and they button down to at most 30lbs of drag. Depends on your waters but this reel has more than enough drag. You won't last long physically holding much more than 30lbs of drag. I now fish the Okuma Makaira 30's and 50's offshore. It's another option along with the International VISX although compared to a used International like this you're really coming up in price. If you do decide to go new, one big benefit you get is 2 speed. If you're land based or on a dead boat having that low gear is massive. You can't chase that shark and having that low gear is an easier way to turn that beasts head than cranking up the drag! Just some ideas, did you already buy something?

@@JeffSmith-eq3kc Ended up with a pretty good deal on a used 80 international SW. had it serviced by a local shop and it runs great. Haven’t spooled it yet but I’m probably going to go with 130 braid and a 150 top shot, that’s what people in my area do. I only run baits around 200-300 yards max so I don’t need a ton of line combined with the crazy drag power this reel has. I am probably not going to run much over 60lbs of max drag because even with the harness I use that seems like a lot for me to handle.

Thanks for watching! It works very well for me... you just have to use some like I do with my other bearing packers. After packing them, you can "release some of the excess by spending it in your fingers for a little bit, or letting it naturally work his way out after you install it.
