Sheesh, fellow Duck fans chill. He’s literally breaking down the Penn State defense. If you don’t think there were uncalled holds, then you are blind. Yes, some went the other way, but he’s not covering that in this video. As for the catch that somehow got called incomplete, that was reminiscent of the Oregon pick vs Ohio State. Ultimately, coach should have called it back for review. Good video. Can’t wait to see what y’all do in the playoffs.

@@LandonTengwall58 If you are part of the little 16 and not the BIG2, then you are never going to get a just call from the B1G administration or officials. PSU has been dealing with it for 30 years. USC's schedule was quite a welcome this year. Oregon had the good fortune of playing the only team in the B1G that is hated more than they will be. (especially if they beat tOSU again). Next year, its your turn.

This is good analysis. If it wasn’t for these problems, these “what ifs?”, the results of the game would have been different. On the other hand, Oregon’s self evaluation and “what ifs” could counter that. This was a good and hard fought game - not perfect on either side, but that’s why games are played. Salute to Penn State, good luck going forward. Go Ducks!!!!!

At 6:43, I wonder if it’s actually Carter who had the RB and he wasn’t a spy, but instead lost that the back came out of protection. There were two plays with Carter later flying out of the middle of the field and making the tackle. Just a thought.

Landon, can't wait for your review of SMU. From some of the KZbin video I've reviewed it looks like they can really score and are outpacing their opponents by a bunch - game to game. Not too many people are scoring on them either. Should be interesting.
@LandonTengwall58Ай бұрын
Should be very fun! I do think our Defense can get back on track vs them
@across7162Ай бұрын
They have a good DL, slightly better than average LBs on defense. From what I watched their DBs have a lot of trouble with RPOs, deep crossing/switch , leak routes and dual threat Qbs. But they are also fast in the back so they can cover quickly on more simple routes. Their offense is somewhat unique with good schemes and has a mobile qb. Good coaching and play calling overall. But...good news for Penn State- They are very susceptible to edge and middle blitzes or pressures, and their QB can make some really bad decisions and tend to scramble too fast. Run game struggles against good d fronts and makes them one dimensional. RB has okay vision tends to bounce outside quite a bit. Wrs are speedy with good route running but don't separate much Lots of mental error penalties and passing int from them getting beat on crosses -Just some notes I saw from a few minutes of game I watched against Clemson. Feeling like this is a good match up for Penn State as long as we play decent in the first half. They do make good adjustments at halftime. Looking forward to Landons shot at this too see if I'm seeing things right

Cherry pick? It was egregious holds all night. It’s not like there were a few one-offs. That’s not even taking into consideration the catch ruled incomplete somehow with no review, the ineligible man 5 yards downfield on the 48 yard TD, and the push-off on the 4th and 2 conversion. Nice work man! Great breakdown and catch on the chunks 😂 Question I've asked myself all year is what is it about gap assignments, tackling and passing off man is not clicking for this team. I get Oregon is very talented but really feel like if those core fundamentals are there (and the refs call a bit better game), we could have won.

@chrisgironda1746Ай бұрын
Ok, you want to ignore the holds? How about the catch ruled incomplete? How about Allar being thrown down late with no flag? How about a push-off on the 4th and 2 conversion? How about ineligible man downfield on the 48 yard TD? It wasn’t *just* the no-calls on some egregious holding by Oregon’s offensive line. It was a hit job through and through.

@watch2112Ай бұрын
PSU had 523 total yards vs Oregon's 469. PSU also scored more points against Oregon than any other team this year. The game was basically lost by a touchdown, and without the bullshit calls and no calls, PSU probably could easily have won the game. This, despite the two interceptions, the second of which came about after PSU's receiver got ten-yards-worth of the defender's right hand holding onto the neck of his jersey as he was being pushed toward the sideline.

#65 had 2-3 holdings on #11, 2 blatant ones you point out. Think you're dead wrong in the rep at 12 minutes. Great rep from the left tackle. Reverse angle, which you don't show, left hand starts at shoulder then moves inside the chest plate as #11 tries to bend it. Geoff Schwartz has it up on KZbin as an Oregon highlight. Not a hold. Big credit to both offensive coordinators in this game. Lots of confusion on 2 good defenses.

@@LandonTengwall58True, but it was the full one possession in which you needed a TD and 2 point to tie. You botched a 2 point try when you didn’t need to try one down 8 after a TD. Just kick the extra point. The Ducks played prevent defense and you guys threw a pick, after the Ducks punted and gave you multiple chances. Penn State got 1 sack and forced zero turnovers. No offense, but in another sense, this was a poorly played game by your team, not talking about the Penn offense for the most part. Getting hurtled on the first Ducks TD? Poor tackling. The Ducks had about 60 fewer total yards but played a much cleaner game, including on penalties. The real issue is Penn State is very inconsistent. Barely beat USC. Played the Ducks well. Beaten at home by OSU team the Ducks beat at home despite 7 points for OSU not deserved. So how you frame the argument goes both ways. By the way, great video.

@@LandonTengwall58 I thought Penn State played a great game, but I never felt like it was in danger necessarily. Even on your last possession I knew the worst that would happen is you guys score a TD and then have to get a two-point conversion to force OT. If you could do that, you would have to beat us in OT too. It just seemed far fetched that would all happen. I was in Indy and at the Oregon-Ohio State game in Eugene earlier in the year, and the Ohio State game felt in danger multiple times. There were several moments in the second half where I thought we might lose. I didn’t feel the same way in Indy.

@ Not sure I understand what you’re trying to say. Don’t give my opinion? I feel the title of the video is misleading. I plainly stated that Oregon fans could make a similar video of missed calls. So I don’t appreciate you replying to my comment and telling me “not to be that guy” like you are somehow superior.
