Need to start with a new WR coach. We have been blowing through them and each one seems worse than the last. Go get Chris Hogan, he should be able to teach our slow WRs how to get more than 1" of separation.

25 % of your offensive plays in the regular season are played 10 on 11 using a quarterback at wide receiver on a trick play. The problem is your offensive coordinator play calls as if his team has inferior talent and needs gadget plays. You had a head coach, def coordintor and offensive coordinator stuck in the same belief and background. Tom allen is gone thank god and now koelnecki needs to be gone next. You had your qb for your system on your roster, he transferred out. Hes snaps dropped considerably after he saved psu when aller quit against wisconsin. Aller has done this so many times. His red cheeks on the sideline, upset, always when psu needs him the most. No guts, no heart. Pribulas plays dropped drastically after he saved them in Wisconsin. If james franklin is that dumb to recruit drop back quarterbacks in a system that needs rpo qbs then he needs to go too

I hear we might be losing Wallace and Evans to the transfer portal. Which means only Clifford and few other guys will be left with the additions to Ross and Hudson. We need a tall threat on the outside.

37:15 I didn't get involved with the Boise fans altho I did make a wager that PSU would win with a local Boise fan. A friendly bet. There's no need to get personal as a fanbase because "realistically" there are now only 5 teams that will consistently be good enough to be on the hunt every year. PSU is "barely" inside the bubble imo. Boise has a loooong history of slaying Goliath. I'll always respect that.

Loved Abdul Carter and Tyler Warren. Those to men should go Number 1 and 2 in the draft. Great game all around. Wish Penn State fans would understand you won’t ever win anything with James Franklin like ND would never win with Brian Kelly. This was their best team I have ever seen. Hated it for you guys but a team had to win.

3 huge things that'll change PSU's trajectory: 1. Receiving options - have to get some WRs and TEs to replace Warren's production and improve it in the aggregate. 2. Replacement for Abdul Carter - he was single handedly wrecking the game for ND in the first half. I've not seen anyone have that level of success against them. 3. Defensive Coordinator - Obviously, you need someone battle tested and who is capable of designing a defense with the pieces he inherits. After watching the game, I thought PSU had quite a few more high end players on the field. Too many of ND's top players were injured + the OL was absolutely destroyed over the duration of the 15 games. Abdul Carter and Warren are difficult components to replace because they are erasers in terms of being able to offer drive-defining plays on any series. PSU won the turnover battle and capitalized points. Ultimately, I don't think Allar is your guy and he'll be the reason this team fails when playing against better competition. Rarely do you see someone develop composure after a sample size this big but you never know. I gained so much respect for Warren, Carter and DDS and your safety! Whoever the hell he was, that dude played an incredible game. We all knew who Singleton was, given we were heartbroken when he elected to play in PA.

What I need someone to try and answer, staff or someone on a film breakdown, is why the change from throwing to WR from earlier in the season? WV Wallace had 5 for about 120 and 2 TD's. Kent St (I know, they were terrible) a number of recievers had catches with Evans at 120 yards. Illinois, receivers had over half the catches. Ucla, recievers had 9 of Allars completions of which Clifford went 3 for over 100. It just feels like the offensive game plan gave up along the way and started force feeding Warren when the Heisman hype kicked full gear after USC.

@bradishler5967 Cousins has not been limited to just center this past season. They’ve brought him as the extra IOL when that’s the personnel that a play calls for and he is not at center for special team’s sets. I believe that’s his ultimate destination yes, but he’s a talent that the coaching staff has shown that they trust and want to be on the field when they get the opportunity!
@bradishler5967
@bradishler5967 17 сағат бұрын
@@suzettesong6742 maybe they could move him to guard for Wormly. With how Rucci did I could see him maybe moving over to the other side. Unless Williams or Shelton beat him out. I just think the best o line we could have would have Rucci and Donkoh together. Either way next year for the OL looks promising if they can get better at pass protection and they get some outside threats

@dameonproctor8914 Allar despite playing poorly vs ND had a good year overall and was much imroved. Tre Wallace had a good year. Omari Evans should have got more targets. 75% of the pass offense was built around Tyker Warren for obvioys reasons. The only two legit WR targets were Wallace and Evans. Could they have seen more? Sure. Too many people are overreacting to one game. Look at NDs WR room. They produced way less than Penn States but its not noticed because they won.

@@PSU2024 people aren't reacting to one game. that one game is the symptom of a season long issue... the WRs weren't able to get separation and/or catch the ball consistently. The question is why? Is it a talent thing or a coaching thing? These were mostly new starting WRs so it didn't make sense that you had a drop off in production from last year, which was a drop off from the previous year. Tyler Warren notwithstanding... if they half as reliable as TW, he would have gotten less targets.

i loved you at PS and felt a profound loss for you due to your medical condition, but quite frankly you are wrong, franklin did put out some good receivers into the NFL, and you think it's just a PS problem, what it is, is a talent issue, Landon if you wanted to blame it on recruiting fine, it's hard to compete with OS with the WR room, but if we had the likes of Allen Robinson, Chris Godwin, Jahon Dotson { which by the way Johan did great at PS, and not doing so well in the NFL } we would not be discussing this.

Landon - before the season started I told Danny O’Brien that I loved the positive atmosphere that he and Coach Kotelnicki seemed to be setting for the growth and mental part of the game for Drew Allar but that I was really hoping he could ALSO work with someone like Bonnie from the Wrestling team. All the wrestlers, and you know how calm and successful those cats are, go out of their way to thank her when they get to speak at their banquet as seniors. She’s made a world of difference for many of them. I know the football team has great resources but maybe you could help to manifest that meeting of the minds! Love the education you’re providing! Thank you, Landon. The Orange Bowl game plan backed your hypothesis exactly. We had 65 offensive plays. The WRs were targeted on 10 of them. That means 55 of 65 plays went through four players - Allar, Warren, Singleton and Allen. The coaches did that because they felt that was their path to a win. It's not hard to see why. You nailed the reason. Well done.
