I love that the whole point of this show is to help magicians broaden their audience. The fact that Penn gave him a quote just to help him book shows and sell tickets is beautiful. And Idk if anyone else has noticed but they allow the magicians to upload the show to their own channel, which I've never seen a show that openly encourages anyone to use their footage. . Other than maybe Kill tony, but that's basically the same show expected for comedians. They are literally making a show to show case magicians, it's a beautiful thing!

This is a great example of a trick that doesn't get spoiled when you know how it's done. For tricks like this one that require a high level of skill and practice to perfect, it doesn't matter if you know how it's done. You can appreciate how hard it was for the magician to perfect his craft even more when you understand the effort behind it.. The tricks that are spoiled when you know how they're done are the ones that rely heavily upon a cheap gimmick, and that don't require the same left of effort to perfect. Often the regular viewing audience can't tell the difference between a trick that requires effort and artistry, and one that anyone could pull off if they knew the secret. It's all magic to them, but real fans of magic understand the difference.

Skilled so skilled..and Penn is right when he says "tennis balls are very tricky to juggle "..I'm not a juggler but would imagine that the springyness of them would make it almost impossible to control and nigh on impossible to hold without having very long fingers
@mirasbrush46072 жыл бұрын
It's more that they're so light. Silicone or bounce balls are actually pretty easy to juggle, I've even juggled fireballs made of a wicked metal cage and it wasn't TOO tough. But very light things are hard to throw with any consistency. I used to do tennis ball and can (produced a DVD with a section of it about 20 years ago now), and usually you add weight to everything - you can see he's added weight via that black stripe on the can, but the tennis balls themselves are au natural, and the "other" balls would be even lighter. Very tricky to do consistently.

What makes the so hard, actually, is that they are way too light
@morbidmanmusic2 жыл бұрын
Try a knife, or chain saw.
@PhilBagels2 жыл бұрын
The difficulty with juggling tennis balls is that they're too light. They bounce out of your hand too easily. A technique I've seen and used, is to fill the tennis balls with water to make them heavier. I've also seen jugglers fill tennis balls with lead shot, to make the REALLY heavy! That makes for a set of intense work-out balls. It exercises you arm muscles as well as your juggling skills. (None of this has anything to do with the trick though, AFAIK.) The moves he did using the tennis ball can were great! I've never seen that before.
