They say that the holy grail of card tricks is "any card, any number," as in name a card, name a place in the deck, and that's where it appears. This has got to be THE CLOSEST THING I have ever seen to the Holy Grail. Peeking the card? Easy. Finding the card? Do-able. All without touching? Maybe. But naming the exact location after not having touched the deck at all?!? *Chef's Kiss* You're a scholar and a gentleman, Mr. Qualter. Well done, indeed.

As for "Holy Grail" of card tricks, I'm not so sure as most magicians who use cards (and really, are there any that don't?) typically know at least one ACAAN method. But of all I've seen I've never seen one even close to this! ...and I'm positive P&T have seen many other ACAANs than I have!! Absolutely wonderful, Noel!

After a rewatch, I think I got the first part and have a clue about the second. Even because & despite of that, this has to be one of the loveliest routines I've ever seen :) Simply wonderful and heartwarming :) What makes this trick even better is your assistant. It feels so natural and casual, and it HAS to be. Else he would be the best actor I've ever seen :D
@noelqualter22783 жыл бұрын
Thanks very much, glad you like the routine I worked so hard on. You don’t actually think the spectator is an actor, do you? Please don’t try and guess how the trick is done. I created something I hoped would be beautiful and it took a very long time, I’d like to keep it that way.
@Khunvyel3 жыл бұрын
@@noelqualter2278 oh no the spectator IS genuine! I'm sorry, maybe I botched that because I'm not a native english speaker and my phrasing was off :) What I wanted to say is that the trick becomes so much more refreshing and heartwarming BECAUSE of your assistant being the genuine article :) And don't worry, I would never spoil anything! The only time when I really injected myself in a speculation of how a trick was done has been on the routine where Penn uses the nailgun because over a 100 comments later people were fighting over things that were nonstarters, and didn't even consider the obvious things that nobody addressed yet. I usually pick up on things fairly quick and did a bit of magic on my own in the past :) I have great respect for the imaginative mind that comes up with the tricks and am not one of the ones who go through a trick frame by frame and try to analyze what they see. That's why I also tried to make my own tricks and not just regurgitate routines. Because often a trick is in the method, not the visible. Actually, knowing how a trick is done is often giving me even more respect for the magician and the joy watching, because I can fully perceive the skill and mind involved :) And to that I say; man your stuff was awesome and a joy to watch. I'm unlikely to figure the trick out by watching, and my hunches might easily be nonstarters. And even with the hunches I'm not even sure if they are enough to unveil it. You were one of my absolute top favorites on "Fool us" and I'm really glad I found you this way to enjoy more of your marvels! :)
