There are several of those reusable eye masks. Pacifica and cocokind have some that are a few less dollars, if anyone is interested. For the lips, I've seen derms recommend HA serums as well. And of course the old tip of vaseline all over the hands covered in cotton gloves.

Now that, thanks to you, I've been more consistent with tretinoin, even when I alternate it with retinol, my main issue is flaky dry lips. I don't put tretinoin on my lips but I guess it migrates there. I will try a gentle acid on my lips and see if that helps, thanks! I use the Paul's Choice Lactic acid liquid exfoliant in the mornings with no problem. Do you think the P5 is a better option or maybe just a few times a week over Paul's Choice. Or with sensitive skin just stick with the Lactic acid the one I'm using. Also, do you still use the Boum Boum Milk essence. I remember from a video of yours you mentioned it and I was thinking about giving that a try

Hey Penny, thanks for some fantastic tips. I just wanted to let you know, though that the lip basting which I learned from Dr. Idriss is absolutely phenomenal Only. I have a tendency to angular chelitis and I found that if I wasn’t very careful the acid serum or toner which I used would migrate down to the corners of my lips and cause that so just a warning to everyone to maybe cover your lips up to a few millimeters from each corner so to avoid that happening…….🤞🏻💖

Hi Penny, I’ve been looking for reusable eye gel patches, and the ones you used get really good reviews. I’m going to try them, and so nice to know that the DNA Repair can be used under the eyes. I haven’t been applying it there at all. Also, nice to know it can be used after an acid peel. I have everything I need from PSC to start acid peels, but other than Emu oil, have no idea what can be applied right after the peel. Also, from their videos, you are supposed to be using a retinol a month before your first peel. I stopped using my retinal a while ago, so need to start again. Not sure how important this is. I find it’s hard to figure out exactly what the process is, and have watched so many PSC videos trying to get answers. Anyway, looks like it’ll be a while before I can get started with my first peel, because of the retinal issue. Thanks for all the cool tips, and I’ve been using the DNA repair for about a month now. Having high hopes it will help with my sun damage spots. ☺️☺️

@PENNSMITHSKINCARE19 сағат бұрын
Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately every thing doesn’t work for every one. What results were you looking for with minimal issues? Maybe I can suggest a different approach. Also, probably the number one reason DNA repair enzymes would help anyone is their impact on skin health- as in pre-cancer (skin, AKs) regression. That’s something that is a result when you *dont* see something. But I get it, that’s hard to wrap our head around.

Penn, I love your hacks! So creative! Thanks to you I started using Photozyme with LED and what a change! I do have a question/concern about the Photozyme Vit C lotion - I put it on in the morning (then peptides on or some kind of a moisturizer), and get to work before the sun comes up. Do you think it even does anything since it's dark outside? Once the time changes, I will be adding a sunscreen so that's another barrier. You mentioned that the DNA repairs work anyway because some enzymes don't have to be activated by light. But what about the ones that do? How long do they have to see the light to work? What do you think?
@PENNSMITHSKINCAREКүн бұрын
The DNA repair enzymes in the vitamin C are two types: one type is a Phoyolyase (from plankton) that requires visible light and two other DNA repair enzymes in it *do not* require light to work 🤩 So you’re covered!! ♥️ It’s one of the reasons I love that vitamin C!

I have bought and used the Photozyme DNA Enzyme, per your recommendation, for more than a month, but I do not see any obvious improvement on my skin
@PENNSMITHSKINCARE7 сағат бұрын
It may not be for you. Improvements (with any skincare) are going to take a lot longer than one month. If you are hoping for quicker results you may want to see an aesthetician/doctor for a more impactful treatment that has a little downtime but faster results. *Skincare* takes a lot of time- DNA repair enzymes are not a quick fix (not even close).

No, I don’t think so. They are all very different. DNA repair enzymes don’t inhibit tyrosinase (as far as I’ve ever seen). That’s pretty crucial for getting rid of hyperpigmentation. DNA REs will HELP. But they don’t replace dedicated pigment inhibitors ♥️

Great tips Penn. I’ve been using the new Prequel multi acid milk peel AHA peeling solution. It’s a beautiful solution and I’ve had no reaction to it hit did start with a few times a week. Since this is more glycolic forward than lactic, would this be OK to use on my lips?
@PENNSMITHSKINCAREКүн бұрын
YES! I have that one too and it’s fantastic! Just follow with hydration and a balm and it’s perfect!

@ OK cool, I’ll definitely try it on my lips and will also patch test on my under arms.

I’ve seen you use many different masks. I know you do a lot of research, can you tell me which one is your favorite? I was looking at Maysama and Dr Rajani but I suppose current body could be on the table too. Please let me know your preference
@PENNSMITHSKINCAREКүн бұрын
@@sharonphillips3700 for me personally it’s the currentbody 2. That’s because of the 1072 lights under the eyes and also around the mouth in addition to the submental piece and also the clip on the controller. Both Maysama and Rajani have features that make them better for someone else like full mouth coverage, pulsing and the ability to turn off the NIR (Maysama). Submental, blue light option and interesting shaped LEDs make Rajani’s good too. But I reach for CB most. ♥️

@ what is the submental piece? Never heard of this and not sure what it means
@PENNSMITHSKINCAREКүн бұрын
@sharonphillips3700 it means there is a piece that has LEDs on it that goes under the chin ♥️

Penn- i know you have melasma as I do too. I have been debating getting LED for this reason I have not yet. Is there a specific one that might be better for melasma?
