I worked at SCI Huntington. When I 1st arrived in 2006, it was tolerable. In the summer, we were breaking up fights in the main yard all the time. I, as a small female, was very strict, but I just got so tired of running & breaking up fights all the time. I just decided that the wear & tear on my body was just not worth it.

I mean, in pa doc, the B's and C's are hardly a presence. In fact, prison gangs in general, in pa doc, are a non factor. They there, but most of them are from out of state. We have meetings and shit but the hang banging mentality is nothing like what you find in Cali doc. I mean dude said he had the whole crip car in his prison, but I'd be surprised if there were more than 20 crips in the whole facility. Same with the bloods. There just isn't enough numbers to be talking like having the yard was an accomplishment. In Cali or ny, that's an accomplishment, it's a high bar. In pa, you just gotta be willing to get down. In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king

I was in huntington there was gangs but not alot maybe a group of 15-20 weather in the yard at the time there was the most of Latin kings and Latin in general most of that jail was just lifers and dudes just doing time everyone kept to their little squad or group and mostly everyone got along

A friend of mine did time in Western Penitentiary from 80 to 90s. He said he was in a group of decent white guys who just looked out for each other. Not a gang

Avoiding situations where stupid things are likely to happen is super helpful. I don't go out anymore really, even prior to the lockdowns and controlled movement policies. I just hang out at the house or with family or extremely close friends.

Hmmm...is all I'm saying. I unfortunately did 6 1/2 straight in Pennsylvanias hautzdale state penitentiary. 2007 was a time in that prison where it was gangland. Couldn't do your time and fall back. Had to get in where you fit in. Now I ran with 215. All Kensington Philly boys. I'll speak from my experience and from my time at my prison....us, the bloods, latin kings ran that prison. Honestly the crips were super small in numbers and always ran into problems due to no numbers....more power to this kid for being white and a "Crip" it just wouldnt and didn't fly in my prison.
