I'm thinking of getting an original because it would be so much quicker to get to the train station in the morning rather than walking, and I'd be able to keep it in my bag at school. Word, if you’re going to buy long boards, get it from a long board brand that’s respected - honestly, sector 9’s are one of my fav brands, because they provide quality that’s highly affordable (very good for new riders). Penny originals are great for short distance traveling, and for highly congested areas (but then again, riding in congested areas isn’t ideal either way). Nickels are great for essentially the same reasons the penny originals are, but you can ride it more comfortably for longer distances. The nickel is a little bit bigger, but I never seen it get in my way.

The penny longboard vibrates a lot when you ride it on pavement. It feels a lot like the penny nickel. I have some drop through lomgboards and a few pin-tails. So far the penny longboard vibrates the most

+Somy Poly I would've rather started off learning to skate on a nickel, but I learned on a Penny. It was challenging at first and I gradually got better. I stopped for like 1-2 years, came back to it with 11.5 foot feet, and it was super easy to learn. I learned in one day. I don't know if it was just being older or whatever, but yea.

I bought my first penny when they came out before the trucks had etching on then it was just black print before and I had a Penny nickel and a stereo vinyl w penny wheels qnd trucks a friend gave me once my Penny went into traffic and got demolished But anyways the Nickel offers more stability it has more flex while the Penny and stereo vinyl are a hair faster but are less controllable so yeah that's years of personal experience skating nothing but penny and that one stereo vinyl

The longboard has that reverse camber built in, so to ground the board they actually bent it twice as far as the flat boards

i recently got one and was learning how to ride. i did the splits and fell on my ass and almost broke my back. Its not all that difficult to learn, but it you feel like you're gonne fall, jump off because it's a lot less painful to jump off than it is to break your tailbone.

Why Abec-7 are terrible? I bought Nickel a few days ago and it rides very good. I don't need to push from the ground often. So if you know the better bearings, what are they? On what do you advise to change the Abec-7?

Penny abec-7 bearings aren't bad for a little while, but after a few months you'll want to change them to something better like Bones Reds

I like sunset penny's/cruisers because they have see-through decks and light up wheels. I dont like the wheels much because they are really slow with the magnet inside to power the LED's so i'm going to replace them with clear blue penny wheels or shark wheels. Sunsets are also just as durable in my experience.
