Finally, the end of another week, Let's finish this week on a frugal note!
Amish Shortcake recipe ..This is a 38yr. favorite in our family.
SHORTCAKE
3 cups flour 4 tsp baking powder, 2 cups sugar 1/4 cup Crisco or tiny bit more 1 c milk 2 lg eggs stir all together well then add 3 tsp vanilla. I put in 3- 8 pie pans just because that's the way mother did it. Greased sprinkle top slightly with sugar and bake 375 for 15-20 until tooth pick comes clean.

My goal for the next couple days is to start some tomatoes and bell peppers in the greenhouse. Getting a clothes line to hang dry my clothes is another thing I’d like to start doing this summer. I’ve been trying to get my husband to build me a set up for a clothes line. I wonder if it makes a noticeable difference in the electric bill 🤔

Homemade shortcake is so delicious! We have a Strawberry Festival in my area every year on Father's Day weekend in June and they always make homemade shortcake in a sheet pan and cut it into squares for serving! The Thursday and Friday before the weekend, volunteers wash and hull( take off the green leaves on top) the fresh strawberries from surrounding farms! Big hit every year! Yours look just as delicious!😊❤

Good morning pretty Tessie ❤ I was planning to do laundry today but mother nature decided to rain! LOL I can totally relate to your small kitchen! I have stuff everywhere because there isn't enough room in the kitchen for it. I have totes under the bed and along a wall of shelves in our bedroom. In the arctic entry and the hallway and also the landing upstairs. And there are a few things on the step going upstairs like my bread maker lol! We are in the process of building more storage but until it is done we make it up as we go along and just do what we can. I also have 5 gallon buckets of things in an outbuilding right now. and the toilet paper and paper towels and water.

Yes my mom made it its very old so I finally got to wash it in the washing machine because I have a full washing machine now and I hung it out on the line so I could dry it and now I'm preserving it by putting it in a large tub to keep it preserved for my children
