Either choice is a win, it's all a matter of personal preference. My wife and I are planning on returning to Perdido Key next year. We fell in love with the area when we visited in 2015. We loved it so much we decided that's where we want to retire.

Yes exactly. Thanks for watching and the comment. Make sure to hit us up so we can help you retire here :)

A little bit more then 5 years until I can move. Until then, vacation has to do. I loooove Perdido Beach, its a lot more relaxing ( I found me a section that not many seem to be aware of 😉) I'll be back in June, can't wait! Until then I'll enjoy your vids.

Hey Tim.....Great video. About the land lease thing on Pensacola Beach- All Pensacola Beach property is leased rather than owned because of a 1947 agreement, which deeded much of Santa Rosa Island to Escambia County from the federal government. The deed agreement prohibited the county from selling the land and stipulated the land must be used to benefit the public. In the 1950s, county leaders decided to promote the beach as a tourist attraction and created the system of 99-year leases governed by the authority to allow commercial and residential development.

Navarre Beach is quieter than Pensacola Beach. If you go to Opal Beach (in between the 2..) you feel like you're on the edge of the world alone at a pristine beach. Its amazing.

We haven't spent much time in the panhandle, but love Florida beaches! Trying to decided between Perdido and Navarre for a getaway with my husband. Any recommendations either way? Would love to soak up time at the beach, good restaurants, not much into wild nightlife! :)

Sounds like a fun time. Both are great, you can't go wrong with either beach. Probably for me would be wherever I can get the better deal.

Great vid! Very informative. We visited the panhandle for the first time 2 yrs ago and fell in love. All we had ever known was Myrtle Beach. We would like to try somewhere else along the panhandle this summer. We are leaning toward Pensacola/Perdido Key. As far as the clarity of the water, is there a significant difference between the two?

@LivinginPensacolaFlorida2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the question. I am not sure where the best is but most of the beach has great shelling. I would think in the places that arent as populated, maybe down towards Ft. Pickens? Please let me know and I can do a video on it :)

One negative about Perdido Key is Gulf Beach Highway looks like the surface of the moon once you get west of Navy Blvd. Pothole after pothole after pothole.
@LivinginPensacolaFlorida2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely

You might find that to be a negative.. some of us like that as it feels off the beaten path and discourages tons of people from crowding the beaches.

Pensacola Beach and Perdido Key Beaches are way too expensive in the months of June through through late August. Too many tourists from Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi and Louisiana. Close to home for them and the Hotel and Condo rental rates are outrageous. The dining prices are too high also. Only visit this area after Labor day to keep your money in your pocket. September and October are the months to vacation because all the teeny boppers and College crowds are gone back home to school or work and the families too. Its wide open and no traffic in September, October and November. Then the white haired Canadian snowbirds come down for the Winter to hibernate until Spring. I prefer Naples Florida on the Gulf or Vero Beach on the Atlantic Ocean. Hallandale Beach is great for the Thoroughbred horse racing season and Casino at Gulfstream Park. Weather, Ocean and great food plus the entertainment. Miami and Ft. Lauderdale are way overcrowded with tourists and Cubans, retired rich Jews. Playalynda Beach is for the au natural sun worshippers and hippies and substance abusers. Far out man! Way way far out and brain dead too! Too much drugs and reefer man! They get blasted into Outer Space there man! They never come back to orbit again either! Far Out Man! Aliens no doubt.

Thanks for watching and the comment. The wharf is a very popular tourist spot but plenty of locals go to the amphitheater. Appreciate the kind words btw, haha
@dallas11573 Жыл бұрын
Lol....What is an "authehtic" location anyhow?? I'm assuming you meant "Authentic" Anyhow- I digress...If you knew what you were talking about- You would understand that Orange Beach is a very high tourist area... He merely mentioned Orange beach because it has those tourist attractions that Perdido Key doesn't and it's a short trip. Tim is a real estate professional (2 seconds of knowing anything would have told you that)... In order for it to be a "shill" he would have to profit off the items he mentioned. Stop being a troll...the world has enough fucktards as it is...
