Pensacola January 2021 Tec Diving Trip

The DIVE TALK crew traveled to Pensacola on a mission to kill as many Lionfish as possible but the weather had other ideas!

how accurate do you need to be with your o2 mix? your said around 50% does it matter if your 1-2 % off? just in general

You can be off but you will enter the right mix into your computer. For example, last time I had 48% so I entered 48% into the computer. What you don’t want to do is tell your computer you have something but really have something else inside cylinder.

Genuine question: if there was a small craft advisory happening, why were you unable to scuba but able to kayak? (I'm not a diver and don't live by the ocean at all so - genuinely just curious!) :) Is it something to do with the distance you end up going from the shore or something? Who does all the maintenance on your dive kits gus?Do you do it yourself or do you send it to specialists.....Pretty important job I would imagine as you life actually depends on your gear working 100% of the time.

Great question. I’m certified to maintain some but not all of my equipment so I do what I’m certified to do and let other professionals do the rest.
