It's very telling where we are with music today when a "producer" doesn't talk about anything else except beats. Nothing about mic'ing, amps, compression, eq, side chaining, automation tricks etc. Just makes you wonder how many different eq and compression settings you can do to a 808. Oh well, so it goes. Once upon a time Mozart was a musical genius, Now it's Dr Dre. Times change.
@drehardin9 жыл бұрын
That's electronic music. Mostly in the box. The only thing to worry about is the room, mic, preamp, and the mix. When it's live music those other things come into play.
@j.wolfman52219 жыл бұрын
Dre Hardin What I'm trying to say is obviously there's a lot more to production than just beats, in the box or not. And we didn't really hear anything about for example comp, eq, m/s etc, which I why I'm here ;)
@djstacktrace9 жыл бұрын
J.M. Wolfman That drives me crazy too. A producer is not a beatmaker. A beatmaker is a beatmaker.

I love this show and Hit-Boy is an awesome guest but, sometimes Herb is just ass kissing and wasting time. Maybe Herb, rather than pump up the guest remember there's an audience ready to learn. It just feels like you put words in the guests mouth or state the obvious and it gets tedious and annoying after a few episodes.
@bAdDA5z8 жыл бұрын
+Zack Daniels I agree completely. Sometimes it also seems like hes just stopping the conversation for his own sake. Like he will say "Um" and then pause and not say anything for like 10 seconds! Think of your question before you open your mouth.

@jasonjasonjasonjasonjason9 жыл бұрын
Saskiequelle what are you talking about don't you enjoy watching the many cringe worthy moments Herb brings to the show, the creepiness, the way he offers things all the time. All those dishonest things. Don't you enjoy it all? The self sabotage of it all? Isn't it fun to watch? Like watching a car crash in slow motion.
@alessandrobabalola13439 жыл бұрын
MyGameplaying Saskiequelle YES i agree he talks way too much SHUT UP HERB
@jasonjasonjasonjasonjason9 жыл бұрын
Alessandro Babalola watch the Dave Mustaine episode for some epic facepalming. Or the pensado jam episode where it's a group of people. Oh man those are some great episodes. It's a perfect example that you don't need to be a super chill person to make it, you just need to hound everyone's ass all the time and annoy the fuck out of them, and it seems like so many people are submissive enough to give into the bullshit and play along. I say all this criticism while also being a very big appreciator of the show. When this show does it right, it's really cool. There's some amazing moments on this show. This show really is awesome, but all the obvious cringe worthy moments they're just too much. This is part of the conversation, and I hope they actually treat the criticism seriously, because it's coming from a place of appreciation for the show.

ive said thie before ill say it again. herb is ruining the show! he talks way too much. if u scroll threw the video it's more than 60 percent herb asking sulf indulgent questions. the show is called PENSADOS PLACE. you're stopping us from learning anything about music herb. you just wanna talk industry and fame and success. which is cool but im here as a musician and producer. and the shit u say is blase
