So why didn’t you touch more on the flow rate technology vs strictly rpm
@ePoolSupply11 ай бұрын
The majority of pool owners and pros stick with RPMs for scheduling purposes and such based on the pool size. Flow rate can be hard to understand and or comprehend at times unless you really do your research to dial your pool in. We stuck with what we thought would be the easier concept.

Is the only pump that pentair makes that connects directly to the Pentair Home app without requiring any secondary equipment or intellicenter? My system is just a pool pump only. No lights, heater, or secondary pump. I live in a very high cost Time of Use area and want to be able to control when the pump is on myself. Should I consider anything else?

No they do not.

Hello, for that type of setup you would probably want to go with the 011075 model. It is just the pump without the IO board included. Would be perfect for what you need on that type of system. You can still hook it up to automation, with a cable under that back cover there's a RS 485 connector so just the IntelliFlo cable, or if you are able to make one yourself. Hope this helps!

Ready to build using IntelliCenter Kit and IntelliFlow 011056. Are you saying I don't need the IntelliCenter with this? What about light relays and dual pumps as for Spa Booster?

As of now you can hook up one low voltage light and one secondary pump. If you have more than that you are trying to automate than you may still require the IntelliCenter. Hope this helps!

Hello, unfortunately, no, that's the whole purpose of the io board. Without it, all you can control is the pump. Pentair will be offering it as an add-on in the near future so stay tuned.

Sounds like a nightmare for the pool tech. Hope the app handles multiple locations quickly and easily. What happens if the internet is having issues. "Sorry sir I could not connect to your pump so your pool is still dirty". I suppose a display and wifi is too much cost. Would have been nice to have one or two buttons you could configure with the app to handle these situations.

Hello, It has a connect button for the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. also has a quick clean button as well as an on/stop button. Hope this helps!
@Seas_Of_Neptune Жыл бұрын
It does look like Pentair was smarter than some other manufacturers--there's an on-off and a quick clean button. Still not thrilled about it, as I think the old Intelliflo was near perfect and close to bulletproof, and didn't need a phone and app with all the potential connection problems that come with to program, change, or diagnose. Nothing's worse than having to be on-site with a phone-only system that is acting up, or have to wait or make a return trip to get the wifi password to connect to the system.

In in the process of building a shallow pool / pond. There will be an upper pool that overflows into the lower one (6 foot wide waterfall) I was planning to plumb it with 2" pipe. (4 main drains + 2 skimmers and diverter valves to balance out) Would you recommend this pump for this application? (I will also need a sand filter.) I'd estimate we are talking 30k gallons. Also; if drained, is this OK to leave outside in a winter that sees -30f

Hello. I am looking to replace my Pentair Superflo model 340043. From what I understand from the video, I will not be able to use the existing 2inch female unions that are currently connecting to my current pump. Is there a fitting I can use to reduce the 3inch outlets to 2inch unions I currently have? Also I have the Intermatic digital timer which controls my high/low. If I go down this route with this pump, I wouldn't need this anymore? I can control everything from the pump itself? Also would I be able to wire my pool lights into pump control board to also control centrally? Thanks for the info.
@ePoolSupply2 жыл бұрын
Hello, no there isn't any fitting that will reduce the size so you can use the old unions for this pump. You can only add one light to the rear end of this pump to control it through the pump. you can also add a secondary pump for a water feature or booster pump. Hope this helps!
@HectorGilHOF2 жыл бұрын
@@ePoolSupply so in my case I would have to use a reducer coupler from 3 to 2? Is that correct?
