Pentaholics knew in 1.5 seconds as soon as Scott was singing. I played the first video and asked all of my family members who it was and each and everyone of them knew it was Scott. It was a wild ride when they were in the show, other than how slow the episodes played out. They released their version of Creep officially. I wish they’d do the others. I really enjoyed each song.

Yeah their performances were really good, and they did a decent job trying to fool the judges, but their voices are now just too well known. Like you said, as soon as Scott started to sing, that should have been it. I think they kept them on the show for ratings

You’d be surprised how many people don’t know Pentatonix. Of course, the fandom got a heads up from sources that shall remain nameless, that we had to watch. If we hadn’t, it would have taken just one fan to see the first one.

It's amazing how many people don't know Pentatonix when they hear them, but the fans all knew instantly. Scott tried to disguise his voice a bit on the first song, but not very successfully, lol! It was still a lot of fun, though! The judges made "guesses" about who they were, but it was obvious they were pretending not to know, and at least one of them guessed Pentatonix every week, otherwise they would have looked pretty silly, lol. They don't officially get unmasked until they are voted off or they win. They got to the semi-finals, but we were pretty sure that they had to fix it so they couldn't win, since it's "Masked Singer" singular, and people might think it was unfair if a group won.

@@OlArmySarge Bishop Briggs who I knew from her song "River" (which I really love) won, and David Archuleta who was runner up on American Idol in 2008 (David Cook won that year), came in second after her, with Pentatonix coming in third.

Great volume! thank you! You rarely hear PTX on the radio, only at Christmas. The radio playing makes a huge difference when it comes to knowing the groups. A cappella is such a small part of music, the investment radios are willing to make in it is minimal. They HAD to use music for this....that is why you hear musical instruments as well. They love Kelly Clarkson. She gave them their first big break and asked them to come on tour with her quite a few years ago. Robin Thicke and Jenny (the blonde) guessed very early that it was PTX, but the others did not agree. Thank you for reacting to this. I hope it gave them a big boost to get their name and music out there.

Thank you for reacting. I have not seen the whole series yet. Pentatonic has no leader or lead singer. Scott does not like labels. They do things by group consensus. When they do a song, who sings what is based on who suits that part of the song.

A couple of the judges did suggest Pentatonix but not everyone was convinced. And yes, I think you are spot on that they didn’t want to expose them too quickly. 😊

Thank you so much for reacting to their performance. You're probably the third reactor I've seen to do it and I watch a lot of channels that have Pentatonix in heavy rotation. Jenny McCarthy wahlberg, the blonde, did guess Pentatonix As a possibility in the first week. I don't know at what point but Robin Thicke also mentioned Pentatonix. Perhaps the stupidest guess was made by Ken on week one when he said it was the cast of the Broadway musical Hamilton. They finished in third place and the overwhelming consensus is that Pentatonix should have won but we knew that already

Congrats for getting the names (even Kirstie’s) correct. Some reactors never get it right. A couple judges knew from the start that they were Pentatonix, but didn’t commit for the sake of some suspense. I hope they will release a full version of Total Eclipse Of The Heart someday. Recommend their cover of Mad World.

Everyone who knew PTX recognized them immediately. But the country is very large, and many people have never heard of PTX. Also, their participation doesn’t end when they are recognized. They get voted on to keep participating. No “group” has ever won Maxked Singer in the US. The producers didn’t let PTX win this time, so I doubt any group ever will.

They really should have won, but you know….that’s TV for you. I think it was an instrumental move (tee hee) on PTX’s part, however, to get more people to hear what they can do.

I personally believed that they knew from the first show or maybe even prior to the first show, and kept them on as long as they could for ratings

You knew beforehand it was Pentatonix and you have been listening to them recently, thats you and us fans, for people who dont or may not know them, the clues and voices plus music would throw them off. Why do we always assume that because we do everyone should know when we all dont listen to the same thing or people or music

The premise of the show is that those who don't do so well in their performances get voted off the show by the audience and therefore is unmasked so it's good that they stay masked for such a long time. however, in this seasons many of us pentaholics believe that the show is rigged because PTX should have won.
