Kirstie doesn't get enough props for how difficult her parts are.

7:00 Yes in the original video, distortion is added in the studio to make it sound more like an electric guitar for the solo, and the megaphone was used as a prop in the video to signify that its not just a pure vocal right then (as well as looking cool!). It was a nice stylistic touch.

I think it is refreshing to listen to good music. It's great to see someone with a genuine reaction truly enjoying the artistic talents of a group that is obviously enjoying the process of creating great musical art.

It’s so good to see you again! As I watched this, I kept thinking of songs to recommend for you, but I checked your playlist and all of them were already there, so there you go. I think it was a master stroke to release live versions of this and Hallelujah, both to showcase what Matt brings to these PTX classics and to highlight how they have evolved since the early days of Pentatonix. They are all such strong performers and I find myself listening to each song over and over to pick out the different parts. Thanks for jumping on this new release, I always enjoy your videos! Peace …

I love this group of young talented adults ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ love your reactions & expressions, everyone’s performance was excellent, harmonies on point. In this particular song Mitch , his voice, talent & abilities brings tears to my eyes, in a good way. All I can say, grandma approved!!!!,

I loved this. Their voices have matured and this is a definite upgrade. Can't wait for Sound of Silence which was what got me hooked on Pentatonix.

They also just released a live version of Hallelujah! Would love for you to react to that as well! It’s even better than the studio version!!

Isn't it great to hear them live? They are amazing! 💕 And Matt's base seems to be getting lower and lower. He really has a beautiful voice. 😊

As always I appreciate your reactions. Seeing how they create so many layers and sounds with just the 5 of them is astounding. I really enjoy this live version. They are all so focused and in tune with each other. They often have their eyes closed because they feel connected to each other and the music. The timing and hitting notes is amazing. Their recent Hallelujah live is also top tier. The end of 2024 and 2025 are going to be wonderful for PTX.

Dave- lovely to see you back with PTX again 😊! LOVING these live “redos” of some of their old classics. Each person’s range is so astounding. The complexity of what they do is so much more evident in these live videos. 💜

In the original, the guitar solo was done with a megaphone as a prop, and some distortion added.

They do this in concerts and it is just as good!!! Love Matt's base!!!! So glad they rerecorded with Matt!!❤❤❤

I live whenever you react to Pentatonix!!! They also released a live version of Hallelujah, sound of silence and Daft punk were also filmed, along with their new Taylor Swift Medley (so far only heard on tour). Not sure when those are dropping though.

I agree with the other comments indicating how much we've missed your Pentatonix reactions. That said, I understand the reason for your hiatus. A month ago, Scott released an original called Rose Without the Thorns featuring sage and Tonality. It's a song that highlights Scott's incredible vocal dexterity. Sadly, its received very little attention. Please consider doing a reaction video. We'd be happy if you completely mask the video. If you do a reaction, I'd be curious to hear how you'd categorize the song. Thank you.

The original was not live but was a studio version, so it had a little polish. However, as in a lot of their recordings, I like this live version better. The delicate harmonies during the last minute I found particularly stunning.

@@johnthegreek5836 oh you're welcome. They typically keep to the same format in order to conserve their energy and their voices. Obviously only they know what's best for them. Also right before this song they are usually going off stage for about 5 minutes to wipe their faces drink some water wait for the crowd to applaud and then Come back out and do an intimate song using NO MICS! Then Bohemian Rhapsody is the usual end 👍🏾. I always love seeing it live. 🙏🏾 Hope you can see them one day as well, it's so worth it. If all else fails, look on KZbin and find a full concert video there are several. ☺️ ✌🏾

@@johnthegreek5836 oh you poor dear. I truly hope you're considering trying again soon. The dates for the new Holiday tour is released so take a look maybe you can make it happen this time 🙏🏾🤞🏾. I'm a little bit saddened that they're not bringing their holiday tour to my coast this year, but I am so excited to see their new movie on Netflix!! 👍🏾🥰

No it wasn’t added. Mitch performs this live and it’s the same as on the original. Obviously varies slightly each time as all live shows do. And you’re right, def electric guitar sound!
