If you want to see Pentatonix at literally Day 1 then you need to see ALL of their The Sing Off performances. I would actually recommend watching and reacting to those performances next as you will see their early progression as a group.

PTX formed in 2011 to compete on season 3 of The Sing Off (NBC), a singing competition for a cappella groups only. Scott was the driving force there. At the time he was finishing his first year of college, as was Kirstie. Mitch skipped his high school graduation to audition for the show & has never regretted it. Kevin & Avi had just graduated from college, so they’re slightly older. They won the show only to be dropped from their label “because a capella is not profitable.” PTX turned to KZbin and were indie artists for a couple years. Evolution of Music was early 2013, I believe, with Evolution of Beyoncé later that year. They were signed to a record deal in 2014 and their numbers have been going up since.

Great reaction. Yes, they're babies here, but you can actually see their even younger versions if you check out their Sing-Off performances. That's where they started. Mitch especially has come a long way, but obviously, it's the bass who's changed the most :D. I would also recommend their other evolutions, Rihanna and Ariana Grande especially.

Yes that was early PTX, but if you want to see them when they started out them react to them on the show the Sing Off.

A few suggestions, Covers: 'Imagine' (John Lennon), 'Problem' (Ariana Grande), and 'Say Something'. Originals: 'Run to You', 'Love Again', and 'Can't Sleep Love' Mashups: 'La La Latch', 'New Rules X Are You That Somebody?', and any of their "evolution" series. You could also consider adding their solo/side projects Superfuit (Scott and Mitch) Kevin Olusola (looping KOvers) Kirstin (Solo EP)

When they won the Sing Off in 2011, Kirstie, Scott and Mitch were only 19 so they were roughly 21 when they put this video out. Unfortunately for Sony, who is the label that gave them the singing contract with their win, dropped them a few short months after the show. However, they were all very determined to succeed so they kept making/putting up videos on youtube and growing their fan base. RCA picked them up in 2013 and as they say...the rest is history. Agree with another comment that their Evolution of Rhianna is amazing, but if you want to get a 2-for-1, you can react to Todrick Hall's Wizard of Ahhhs feat. But pretty much I think people will be happy if you just continue putting up any reactions to PTX :)

Pentatonix sang did a song with legend Dolly Parton singing Dolly's hit Jolene and do Mary did you know!!!!. Pentatonix is very great and beautiful singers and they was so happy singing with Dolly

Pentatonix all started out with Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi and Kirstie Maldonado who grew up together in Arlington, Texas. They heard over the radio about a singing competition to meet the cast of Glee. They arranged a trio version of “Telephone” by Lady Gaga and sent it in. They didn’t win, but they were the talk of the school and decided to put it on KZbin where it gained a lot of attention. Scott and Kristin both graduated from Martin High School in 2010, Mitch in 2011. Scott went off to the University of Southern California to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Popular Music, while Kristin pursued a Musical Theater major at the University of Oklahoma. While at USC, Scott joined an a cappella group called SoCal VoCals. He found out about The Sing-Off from another member of the group, Ben Bram (also their arranger, producer, and sound engineer) and was encouraged to audition for the show. He persuaded Kirstie and Mitch to join him, but the show required at least four members. Scott met Avriel “Avi” Kaplan, a highly recognized vocal bass in the a cappella community, through a mutual friend. Then the trio found Kevin Olusola on KZbin, where, one of his videos in which he was simultaneously beatboxing and playing the cello (called “celloboxing”), had gone viral. Kevin was born in Pasadena, California and graduated pre-med from Yale. He speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese after spending a year studying in China The group met the day before the auditions for the third season of The Sing-Off began. They successfully auditioned for the show and eventually went on to win the title for 2011.

I would love to see you react to Home Free, Pentatonix, VoicePlay, Filharmonic, et al from their time on The Sing-Off. Pentatonix won Season 3, Home Free won Season 4.
