My favorite thing about this video is watching Kirstie & Scott, two life-long friends who are as close as siblings, emoting off each other in this duet performance. That alone makes this version SO much better than the original. If you want to see a similar (yet much more tongue-in-cheek) performance by the two of them...along with Mitch...you should check out Superfruit's "Frozen Medley" featuring Kirstie. It's amazingly poignant, shockingly accurate AND side-splittingly hilarious too.

I have never in my life encountered a musical group that was the entire, total package. Pentatonix brings every talent they possess to every single musical moment they give us. They are just gorgeous people to look at, they each have uncommon vocal skills, the emotion they bring (be it happy, sad, or anywhere in between), not to mention acting skills, are just remarkable. I cried my eyes out the first time I saw this video. The emotion Scott and Kirstin bring is just brilliant. I also wanted to point out an extremely awesome talent that Matt brings. At about the 6:33 to 6:35 mark in your video here, you will hear Matt doing a bass slide. He starts out on a low bass note, then perfectly "slides" his voice up an octave or so - much like a bass guitar would. I have heard him do this in many of their songs now. It is an incredibly difficult thing to do - and have it come out in absolutely perfect bass pitch. Ever since this was pointed out to me, I always listen for that by Matt. He is a master! They all are! Oh - another beautiful song of Pentatonix is an Ed Sheeran cover of "Perfect". You should check that out also!

Yes, Kevin invented cello boxing. He was praised by Yo yo Ma when Kevin won second place in a competition that mr ma puts on for world class cellists. Kevin also plays sax and piano. Has played in Carnegie hall with both cello and sax. You got Mitch slapped by the entire group, again. You were saying that it sounded like Kirstie was crying, and in a way, she was. What she was doing is actually called a vocal cry. Considering how young they were when they started, and where they are now, to how much farther they are probably going to go. Can hardly wait to see.

@@rocksolidreactions3901 hopefully you go back and watch the video after. There is one thing that you missed. I missed it also, but read about it on the PTX page in the comments. At one point, Kevin plays a small section from lady gaga's bad romance on beyonce. Yes, he named his cello. At the concert my hubby took me to a couple of years ago, he played the song that caught Scott's attention on KZbin and that's why there's actually 7 pentatonix members. 8, if you still count Avi. Kevin, beyonce, Scott, Mitch, Kirstie, Matt, and ben bram. Yes, they ooze talent. I've had people argue with me that Mitch can't do what he does without help. I've watched interview videos when he copies the sound of a marker squeaking on a white board. Yes, Mitch and Kirstie can both sing whistle notes. Kirstie is so bad ass that she can go on tour with a broken ankle, plus film multiple song videos with said broken bone. Scott pretty much lives for the work and is constantly thinking of who, what, when, where and how. Kevin, is also constantly working on other things, which is why he sings more. A fun video for you, in the new year, should probably be the teenage mutant ninja turtles song. Kevin wrote it, and raps most of it. It's a short video, but so much fun.

If you want to see something fascinating, go watch the Acapop!Kids do this song. It's very different from this but it stll has Pentatonix written all over it. That's because Acapop!Kids are Scott and Ben's brainchildren. I'm happy they are teaching the next generation. and they are not dumbing things down for the kids.

How many people in the industry today get so many positive and repetitively similar direct responses from the wide swath of listeners that you have.
