God, I know frontman!Mitch is an amazing performer with how he controls his facial expression differently in every song... But this one just takes the cake for me. They were super personable and endearing, but for me, it took me a bit out of the music more abruptly. It was kind of jarring. I'm one of those people who like to repeat listen, but they'd usually jump in with their, "Heyyyy!" before I could pause it and go back, so it was like a bit of a race to get there without being completely taken out of the moment. The comments from them and the sort of... update of it all was cool. I might have preferred it beforehand, to be honest, to introduce the video, if it was included. I understand why it wasn't though. The downside of this lack of collective outro is that we don't get that personal touch feeling, but the good part is that it does feel more professional. Our guys are all grown up. ~happy tears~

To be serious, though, everyone's voice here is autotuned. Properly applied autotune is often undetectably subtle to the untrained ear, and is just as essential to the modern vocal production process as any other effect in the signal chain (preamp, compressor, eq, delay, reverb etc.). There's no point recording ten times more takes than necessary gunning for both artistic expressiveness and flawless execution, when you can have musicians focus on the former and polish any rough edges away in post. Live performances are when perfect technical excellence comes to shine, not in recordings.
