The gift in operation - Praying in the spirit: Tongues are a go, until the return of Christ, when we see him face to face. 1 Corinthians 13:12 - "but then(at Christ's return) face to face". 1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. SPEAKING IN TONGUES The most misunderstood and underused resource in all of Christianity For he that speaketh in a tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God..." I Corinthians 14:2 Speaking in tongues is a powerful prayer resource that many Christians are missing out on. It greatly enhances our prayer life and relationship with God. Look at three highly acclaimed men in the Bible who walked with amazing power and encouraged speaking in tongues: Jesus Christ said it would happen, "…they shall speak with new tongues;" (Mark 16:17). and they did! It happened on the day of Pentecost. He prepared his followers on how to manifest it (John 7:38 & 39; 20:22; Acts 1:8). Logically if Jesus Christ is promoting speaking in tongues shouldn't we as born again ones speak in tongues? Peter spoke in tongues along with his fellow disciples on the day of Pentecost. Peter led the very first Gentile into the new birth as well as helping them receive into manifestation speaking in tongues. "For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God" (Acts 10:46). Paul, the writer of the Church Epistles and a leader of the first Century Church said this about speaking in tongues: I Corinthians 14:18: I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all. I Corinthians 14:39b: ...and forbid not to speak with tongues. Paul ministered to the new believers in Ephesus and led them into speaking in tongues (Acts 19:6). These three men are the pillars of Christianity. Since they either promoted and/or spoke in tongues, then we as children of God should recognize their example and speak in tongues much. It should not be misunderstood or underused. We should recognize the magnificence of the value of speaking in tongues and do it much. God is highly in favor of speaking in tongues. I Corinthians 14:2a For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: . . . When you speak in tongues you know you are in direct contact with the Father. What a joy it is to be able to speak in tongues. Speaking in tongues magnifies God (Acts 10:46). Speaking in tongues is speaking the wonderful works of God (Acts 2:11). Speaking in tongues is a means of giving thanks unto God (I Corinthians 14:16 and 17). Speaking in tongues makes intercession for the believers (Romans 8:26 and 27). Speaking in tongues is worshipping in the spirit (John 4:24 and Philippians 3:3). John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. God gave us the gift of holy spirit and he gave us his word to teach us about it. Now it is up to us to believe and manifest it. God isn't going to make anyone manifest anything. It is as we will. When we believe to operate the gift of holy spirit then God energises within us and his power is manifested. This is true spiritual power. You must speak forth the words, as God gives them, to your spirit! That you speak is your business; what you speak is God's business! Tongues is speaking a language, unknown to the speaker. It is either a known language on earth, or a language of Angels; 1 Corinthians 13:1. Chapter 14 gives instruction on how the manifestations are to be conducted, in a church setting. Tongues must always be interpreted "in the church". Two or three speak forth and each one must interpret their own tongue. This is by inspiration(in spirit action). All things MUST be done, decently and in order; verse 40. SPEAKING IN TONGUES - (defined): The manifestation of Speaking in Tongues is your operation of the God-given ability whereby you may (at any time in your private prayer life or in a believers’ meeting, if interpreted) show forth, by speaking in an unknown tongue, (unknown language to you), the external manifestation in the senses world of the internal reality and presence of the power of the holy spirit. Yes, YOU can do this!

I never said you can't speak in tongues. I am saying that most of what Pentecostal Christianity calls "tongues" is just jibberish and not a real language. I do believe in the REAL gift of tongues.

Lol he never said you can’t speak in tongues but if someone is to speak in tongues then one is to interpret. Paul even says he’s relieved that he speaks in tongues more than all of the Corinth church because no one can edify if everyone speaks in a language no one understands.

First time here and i like the calm placid biblical sermon , thank you Lex a question , didn't God Give Jesus ALL divinity as to come and be born as human flesh , ( he Jesus was not THE GOD ALMIGHTY ) but was given all divinity including Gods spirit to do the work of God , to lead us fallen humans back to God our Father !!! Their has to be a separation of the 2 ONE GOD ALMIGHTY and HIS begotten SON JESUS who is our savoir who died to take All our sins ( Jesus is god by name not by person )

Pastor Lex, I’ve been arguing with a friend about the existence of Jesus Christ. Can you please refer to me some books that mention Jesus Christ by name, that were written close at the time when Jesus was preaching?

The Jewish Historian named Josephus talks about Him.
I was reading your book, and it all makes sense now! Why Jesus hasn’t come back yet! Because we are waiting for the millennium Sabbath... That was some mind blowing stuff, like learning the earth is flat!!! I never knew what to tell people when they asked me when is Jesus coming back!!! Now I know what to say. I was reading the book of Jashe also and it looks like we are in the year 5778, less or more . The anti-Christ and the One World Order is coming very soon! But after that Jesus is coming and the 1000 year rain will take place. And after that judgment day (nobody know the exact day but the Father).
