Dr Bernard did an outstanding job in this discussion. Humans are complex - and what is an issue of concern for one, may be a ‘fundamental human right’ for another… in other words, the pluralistic society has people of every imaginable ‘walk’ who desire representation and freedom to ‘self express’ as they see themselves. This is where things collide in the public square and get messy. I think there’s a point where society won’t go… and at that point one’s decision to live in that manner, you become an activist for that particular cause. Unfortunately, certain activists are more vocal - they cry out for acceptance and equality - but, their heart is against certain values another may hold dear. I don’t think government has the answer. And the solution really comes from folks living out their lives in a way that glorifies God… forming community that shapes their Oikos… and no, I am not talking about out Greek yogurt here. We should vote our conscience. We should be a part of groups that want to make our towns and cities a better place to live. In other words, work in our hometowns with people who value the things you do. Not every believer in Christ, will hold the same traditions and teachings as Oneness Pentecostals … but, there are certainly points where in the economy you will agree upon. I think spiritual maturity is developed overtime where one realizes not everyone will be the same … and they have the right to be unique in the universe as you are uniquely gifted. There does come a point where there is no agreement … and we can compartmentalize that contentious place and not go there. Trust you are encouraged. Lovingly, Cuthbert.

Denominations were born out of the reformation approx 500yrs ago. The Apostolic Church was born in Acts ch 2. It is not a product of the separation from the Catholic Church during the reformation period. It’s the original Church that preaches the same doctrine that was preached in Acts ch 2.

Yes. It’s an out branch of the Holiness movement which in turn has roots in Methodist and other Protestant religious traditions.

@@JivTurky1986it’s not anything close to the original Church, sorry - it’s a very poorly conceived outward imitation of form of the Acts church, and it isn’t hard to tell it apart from the real Acts church if you just read Acts 2:6-8. The misnomered “apostolic” churches were born in the early 20th century and have always featured “tongues” which make a mockery of Acts 2.
