As someone in heading into the last year of my MScOT, I've found that PEO is the easiest to use in busier settings, such as acute care!
@TheOTMinute4 жыл бұрын
Brittany Presswell thanks for sharing your experience and thoughts! I agree that PEO is great for quickly conceptualizing areas that will need to be addressed in intervention and its memorable simplicity still provides a rich understanding of factors affecting occupation.

@@TheOTMinute I really appreciate your reply. So, I would like to suggest occupational justice, occupational identity and occupational possibilities.

What model would you use when treating someone with MS, PEOP or CMOP-E?
@TheOTMinute2 жыл бұрын
Hey Megan! Either could work great. Personally for me it really depends on the information that I would have about the person their context and occupations and which model best conceptualizes those factors.:)

On the ot process in which stage included the model and with which way (interviews?)
@TheOTMinute4 жыл бұрын
That is a great question. OT models are a bit bigger picture. It guides the whole process.. It is the framework from which we understand what occupation is and how we understand and conceptualize the essential components of occupation. Personally I generally function from a PEO model because I find it is a great well rounded and simple OT model. However, as I receive additional information during the initial stages of the OT process such as reading a medical chart, patient history, completing an occupational profile/interview, and /or evaluation, I may realize that another model provides a better framework and therefore I may switch models to better conceptualize and guide the OT process for that client. I hope that helps!
