my backpack is a HUGE coping mechanism and anxiety relief for me. To have daily essentials and some "emergency" supplies in my backpack help me immensely, so much so that I've had to work on going out without it in therapy. Having things I need in my daily life helps me so much to know I'm prepared and won't have to rush back to my house/buy something I already have/ask to use someone elses things. It also helps so much with my PTSD and fear of having my back exposed/not sitting with my back against a wall. Backpacks are top tier and Link gets it.

I was gonna say, I recently convinced my husband to get a freaking bag, so I don't have to lug around his stuff (luckily he was always good about carrying my bag 50% of the time, but what a silly arrangement). It's just American men that don't wear bags, everyone else wears bags. Maybe it's cause Americans don't take public transportation so they keep all their stuff in their cars.

I love that Link has a bag like that! I myself suffer from Anxiety and one of my self soothing/coping methods is my big packpack. Do I absolutely need to carry a giant backpack with me every where? no... Do I use all the stuff that's in it regularly? .... no... But is it hella practical?... well.. also no... But it brings me the comfort and security my overthinking self needs to get out the door and feel prepared to face everything. Normalize mental health "survival" bags :)

I have literally never commented on a youtube video until this moment. I have carried a backpack/fannypack/hippack/whatever else for as long as i can remember. I can not even begin to tell you how it comes in handy every single day. My friends and loved ones never bring anything with them and are constantly asking for things that are in MY backpack. Link saying "i like to have things that optimize my experience" really sums it up cleanly. Hungry? snacks. Phones dying? charger. Like there's so many little things that humans need through the day, and the people who don't carry bags are just pawning those needs onto the people that do WHICH IS SO LAME. Rhett being such a jerk really put a bad taste in my mouth. Next time he's hungry or his lips are chapped, let him suffer. Oh wow - Link going through his pack is bringing back all sorts of delicious childhood memories. I used to be fascinated by what grownups (this included teenaged babysitters) kept in their purses. I could be kept busy for hours going through them, asking what everything was - getting stories about the photos (people used to keep photographs in little plastic sleeves in their wallets before we had so many credit cards) - this was the most calming thing I could do. Watching Link I could feel my blood pressure going down. You may have to make this clip a separate video - it may be longer than a short - just so I can watch it and calm down when I need it!! Ive never carried a purse but I do have a mini backpack. okay so for people freaking out about the yellow pillow thing, they sell allergen pillow covers to help prolong the life of your pillow and keep it cleaner, it's washable, but it's also recommended to wash your hair before bed but also to blow dry it, because wet hair ruins the pillow and can cause scalp fungus too, some people like to fluff up and disinfect their pillows in the dryer every now and again and also helps make sure you don't get bed bugs for your mattress get a bed bug cover and then cover that with a mattress protector which protects the bed bug cover from rips or wholes from pets just be sure to wash the mattress cover every now and them and spray your bed bug cover with lysol each season change to keep it fresh (I like to lint roller it too since I have a cat that sleeps with me)
