Hello Easy Spanish team, There is research to show that learning from input is significantly better when using subtitles in the target language when compared to your native language (journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0158409 scroll down to figure 1). It's because of this that I would ask you to consider having subtitles in Spanish only, as it is almost impossible to watch and read the Spanish subtitles without glancing at the English ones. I really hope you will take this into consideration because I think you do amazing work, I think this method of learning languages is highly effective, and I think Easy Spanish could be a model for learning all types of languages in the future. Thanks!

Me gustaría aumentar mi vocabulario, porque aunque puedo defenderme más o menos bien con el español, siempre uso las mismas palabras. Ya tengo un trabajo donde hablo español bastante durante el día. Mi trabajo y este video me inspiran a estudiar y aprender más. También me cuesta un poco de trabajo entender la gente cuando habla rápidamente o usa jerga. Sus videos me ayudan muchísimo! ¡Muchas gracias!

Para mí lo mejor para aprender más vocabulario es leer constantemente, pero tan importante es charlar con nativos, así aprendes expresiones que se utilizan al hablar pero no al escribir. La verdad es que no hay manera fácil ni rápida, requiere mucha paciencia y es cuestión de práctica. El problema que tengo yo es que de donde soy, hay poca gente que lo hable, así que la única vez que lo hablo es cuando voy de vacaciones a España, o converso con gente por internet o WhatsApp. Por cierto, el español lo hablas muy bien! ¿De dónde eres exactamente? Un Saludo.

¡Muy padre México! Qué chido este canal y sus compañeros. Este año me gustaría hablar español más fluido y voy a desarrollar el idioma para entender y aplicar el lenguaje mejor. He comenzando desde hace 3 meses y es muy bacano. No chachai todos los verbos pero con el contexto y los subtítulos que les ponen abajo está muy fácil a comprender. Saludos

No me sé los tiempos verbales en español, pero el «tengo pensado» se ocupa para hablar en el presente, el «tenía pensado» se aplica siempre cuando hablas en el presente pero para expresar algo que quieres hacer pero no estás seguro, por ejemplo: tenía pensado ir al cine, pero no sé si debería de ver esa película. Normalmente cuando hablamos en español ocupamos ambas expresiones y el significa no cambia.

it's slang and kind of hard to define because the meaning changes so much depending on the context it's being used in. As you hear it more and more you'll start to understand it better.

Lotte Cooper there are plenty of meanings, and in Latin America we have a lot of words to say cool, in central america we say “chivo” in argentina people say ”piola“

They are speaking at a natural speed. Every single word they are saying is in the subtitles, but if you really want it to be slower you can slow down the speed of the video. There is no need for them to speak at an unnatural speed when it's completely transcribed with translations to boot.
